Acceptable Stay
Reviewed By 665philipwI recently stayed three nights at the Garden Inn Dulles North while on a business trip. It was perfectly acceptable and perfectly average! I normally think of Garden Inns as one step above limited-service properties such as Hampton Inn, Fairfield Inn, etc. because of more expansive dining options and slightly nicer rooms. In this case I was hard pressed to tell the difference. As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I received two bottles of water and a $10 credit per day for food and beverage in the hotel's restaurant (which wasn't limited to just breakfast). Had my partner been with me, it would have been $20/day. What I liked: 1. Clean, spacious room 2. Small but well equipped fitness facility What could have been better: 1. Decor is a little dated and could benefit from a contemporary makeover 2. The restaurant and bar was closed on Sunday evening (the time of my arrival). There's nothing within walking distance other than an Aloft Hotel next door. I had to order and have dinner delivered via Grubhub. The restaurant menu is otherwise uninspiring. The $10 f/b credit covered a continental breakfast buffet that was very spare: yogurt, oatmeal, some cold cereal, bagels, and a few pastries--even less than what's available at a Hampton Inn. 3. No housekeeping for three days--not a real problem for me other than the one small wastebasket that got incredibly full. I didn't see any notice offering housekeeping if desired; so, I didn't ask. 4. On departure I had a 7:00A flight out of Dulles, which is reasonably close by. The hotel airport shuttle begins at 6:00A -- not acceptable. 5. Front desk staff were perfunctory. On check in, I had a digital key already coded in the Hilton App, so I was able to bypass the front desk altogether. This also meant no welcome from the staff other than someone shouting to me as I walked by if I wanted two bottles of water. On checkout, the staff were preoccupied with a computer glitch that made it hard to update my final bill with the daily f/b credits. So, no one thanked me for staying or asked if I enjoyed my stay. So, overall, I probably wouldn't return to this property!

Being away from my family for that amount of time is hard but, I have found this Hotel to be a second home! I wanted to give a huge shout out to Adel, Serra, Dave behind the bar, Johnathan, Malaika, Kossivi, Michael O'Donnell. I'm certain there's more names I'm forgetting as well. These people have become my "hotel family." These individuals have ALL went above and beyond to make my stay here comfortable and memorable. As for my own family as well! When they visit, they are blown away with the hospitality shown here. I will continue to be a part of this hotel and their growth! A shout out to all members of this Embassy Suites is in order and I am extremely pleased with all operations here. Thank you all for making my extended stays here feel almost as good as being home! Reviewed By WalkingMan60It took around an hour and a half to get checked in. read opening page. There was no line of people waiting to check in. Staff kept telling me my room would be ready in 30 minutes evert 25-30 minutes.

Reviewed By juliechallisGreat hotel close to Dulles, and easy access to northern Virginia. Staff is great. Special shout-out to Paris. She is very professional and copes under pressure of a busy hotel. Large, clean rooms with great common areas. Definitely would recommend and stay again. Starbucks is a few steps away. Otherwise your need a car to get anywhere. Hotel has a shuttle bus.

Reviewed By 58alainagA coworker and I stayed here for work. Rohina, the lovely woman who cooked breakfast, provides excellent interaction with customers and is very outgoing and friendly. We also worked with Jacob Alibrandi during our check-in. Due to some work travel agents issues it was an extended process but he was friendly and patient as it got worked out. It’s about what you’d expect from a springhill suites. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable.

We're located in the heart of Loudoun County, 25 miles west of Washington DC and 15 minutes from Dulles International Airport (IAD). Popular attractions such as the Washington Monument and Meadowlark Botanical Gardens are only 30 minutes away. Enjoy free breakfast and WiFi as well as access to our indoor heated pool, whirlpool, and fitness and business centers.

Reviewed By ina11219The hotel was in a lovely location, the rooms were comfortable and we had a party of school children with us and there was plenty for them to do. The staff that were there were all very nice especially the housekeeping staff who were always friendly and helpful. One housekeeper in particular was wonderful. However there were not enough staff, there was no alcohol licence and the reception staff who were kind and helpful seemed undermanned and undertrained. Not their fault I hasten to add but management seemed to be cutting corners where corners should not have been cut
