Friends recommended Ahipara as the perfect place to stop before going to Cape Reinga. There was a bit of confusion around camp grounds when we arrived (we used google maps and campermate), and we took a wrong turn, but eventually landed safely at Ahipara Holiday Park for the evening. Once we settled we jumped on our bikes and after just a few minutes were biking on 90 Mile Beach which was pretty cool. Hubby went for a swim as the sun was going down. Spectacular! As you enter the camp ground you drive down a long drive and there are security cameras. It did make us wonder where we had landed. But the grounds were lush, the toilets and facilities clean and the welcome was warm and friendly. We were in large self-contained camper vans and hubby decided that we could just drive around the sites and have a look - that wasn't such a great idea as our large campers were difficult to drive around the meandering site. If he had listened to the instructions it would have been fine to simple drive straight ahead and take our spot on the well presented, flat ground. So just a tip that if you do have campervans to be mindful of the size and perhaps walk the lots rather than drive.

The huts are inspired by the joys of simple lives led by the tides. Generally used for utilitarian purposes, the exteriors are influenced by the rustic Seaweed Picker huts, found further round Tauroa Point, and the rich history of the tramping hut, found dotted over New Zealand. The interiors have been reimagined to provide a balance between that which is essential and that little something extra. Leaving space for you to create your own version of paradise.
Stayed for two nights over Easter and couldn't recommend the place enough! Adam was great to deal with from the very beginning, all the way through to the end of our stay. The place was a dream - every little detail was thought out. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Beautiful views from the deck, the couch, and bed! Can't wait to return. Thanks guys!

After nearly 2.5 years of traveling all around New Zealand, from top to bottom and back again, I'm here to say that Endless Summer Lodge is my absolute favorite place that I've stayed! It is truly an incredible hidden gem and not to be missed. The house is a gorgeous and charming historic kauri building and the atmosphere is so friendly and relaxed. I enjoyed countless chats with other guests and our hosts alike. Whether you're going for a surf down the road at the beautiful Shipwreck Bay, lounging with a book in one of the hammocks in the front yard, playing fetch with the resident dog, having a morning coffee on the front patio or a glass of wine out back under the twinkling lights, or falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean waves, I can all but guarantee that you won't spend a second feeling like you're anywhere other than paradise. 11/10 loved my time at Endless Summer Lodge and would stay again in a heartbeat!

GEMS Seaside Lodge offers the discerning traveller exceptional lodgings in the jewel of Ahipara, at the base of the 90 Mile Beach. Begin your adventures to Cape Reinga, the Bay of Islands, the Hokianga, and other treasures of Northland, from here. However, there is actually a wealth of activity in Ahipara for you to enjoy. World class surfing at Shipwreck Bay, fabulous fishing (both chartered and surf casting), board paddling, horse-treking, 4 Wheel Driving and Sand Duning are just a few of the many activities available. For those who wish to enjoy a more leisurely experience, there is golf, beach walks, and visits to our very own award-winning vineyards. If you simply prefer rest and refreshment with book in hand, then absorb the beauty of this magnificent beach paradise, with crashing waves, beautiful birdlife, and stunning sunsets, from the comfort of your lodge, as part of your ‘seaside therapy’.
This apartment has it all! From comfy beds and linen, robes, to BBQ and even a coffee machine. The beach is a wet access across the stream but the views and wonderful walks are fabulous for a break, even if there for work as I was.

Luxury one or two bedroom apartments easily accommodating 4 or 5 people with full cooking facilities plus BBQ on patios. Come enjoy all the fun Ninety Mile Beach has to offer, golf, surfing , swimming , blo-karting, quad-bike tours, fishing and much more. Daily bus or private tour to Cape Reinga available. Bellovista's absolute beachfront location provides safe and easy access to the beach.
The Bellovista is one of the nicest apartments we have ever stayed in. The apartment was very well presented with two large bedrooms, a pristine well equiped kitchen, a large bathroom and a very spacious living area with dining table, lounge and large screen TV with cable and DVD player. The views over the beach and ocean are spectacular and the sunsets worth the time to photograph. Highly highly recommended.
