A little gem in Bali
Reviewed By philippa123456I stayed just one night and wished I could have stayed for longer. The owner was so lovely and kind and has a wonderful knowledge of the surrounding area and helped me plan the days ahead. The food was also fresh and very delicious. Nothing was too much trouble to help anyone - it was really a pleasure to stay. The hotel itself is nestled in the countryside at the foot of Mt Batur and the short walk into the village takes you through a path lined with little crops with a lovely genuine experience of this beautiful part of Bali. I wish I will return one day soon to experience the magic again!

Mount Batur and lake Batur
Reviewed By RaymondaleStayed here for two nights in June last year,vivid memories even till now.the guesthouse location is great,it face the mount Batur and also the lake Batur.so everyday you can view the both Batur.the owner is friendly,you can ask him to arrange hiking,tour,tickets etc.breakfast included,and delicious made by young boys,the room is basic,but okay,bathroom simple,water sometimes smell like Sulphur,but it is normal here.there is a hot spring pool,though not big,but quite enjoy.i prefer breakfast time,you can have your meal and watching the mountain and the lake.i had Batur hiking tour in the early morning, amazing and memorable experience,cuz i am not young but still can make it,that time i cant see the sunrise,cuz not the right day.the guide is patience,will asked if i am ok,and always wait for me,the price is reasonable(one on one).i did join another tour to truyan,cost a lot,but worth a visit.after check out,i had an half day tour in kintamani area and tegallalang. anyway,a nice stay at Batur Volcano guesthouse,want to come again if have chance.

Beautiful hostel with amazing garden and hot spring, first-rate staff
Reviewed By sugandhijStayed here only for only one night and wish I had time to stay longer. Did the Mt. Batur hike - our guide was fantastic - very knowledgeable about the geology and area, paced the hike well and he took the best photos! The grounds of Black Lava were gorgeous with many nice details and well-tended plants and flowers. The best part is the little natural hot spring pool over-looking the lake with a view of Mt Agung. The owner John, was great and the staff especially Yoga, were all super helpful. I went with my mother who was recovering from a broken leg and had some mobility issues - they were all very helpful and accommodating. Hope to stay here again!

Reviewed By gumilangraThe owner is a passionate (they frequently visit tourist destinations around Indonesia so that they can be more knowledgeable about those places and give correct information for their guests) and kind couple. The husband offered me a really interesting Mount Batur trekking package—less mainstream and more exciting route. I can't join since I have decided to solo hike Mount Abang and explore areas around Batur Caldera by myself. He then told me about few hidden gems I can explore and how to reach them. People usually come to the property to stay and rest before starting the Mount Batur trekking in the morning. You need to go uphill a bit to reach it, but it's definitely worth it if you're looking for a tranquil place to stay. If you're on a long trip and need to go from place to place around Bali, they can help you with the transportation and some guidance. They offer really affordable homemade foods with decent taste.

We are one of the luxury Hotel in Kintamani. Enjoy amazing view of Mount Batur. Relax on in our hot water swimming pool. Truly a moment to remember.
Amazing stay at Black Lava Camp
Reviewed By Taylorkdavis-chinaThis is a hidden gem in Bali! We were blown away by the beauty of this hotel camp. We paid a bit more for the dome with the attached private bathroom which was totally worth the extra cost for convenience and privacy. The camp was fully booked but did not feel crowded at all. We had plenty of space and time to photograph the volcano and Bali mountains. The food was good and at the Indonesian standard. We spend a lot of time in China so we are a bit snobby about food. Overall the good quality and price was acceptable. The pool was great, a bit cool which was very refreshing. The temperature at the camp is 20 all day and 17 at night so take a jacket. They have BBQ and fire pits which made for a really nice luxurious camping experience. Beds were comfortably firm and the temperature inside the tent was just right from dusk to dawn. This place is great for photography. I’ll put some pictures below. Nice thanks lace to relax and enjoy the perfect height altitude Bali climate and mountain air. The water here is super clean and much softer than in the city.
