Parc-Le-Breos House

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst looking at seeing The Gower. This was excellent accommodation and located very well to travel. Three Cliffs Bays, 15 mins walk (the best bay!), Oxwich Bay (10 min drive) and Rhossilli Beach (20 min drive). We upgraded from a small double to a Suite which was amazing. This accommodation has real family heritage and you are treated as such too, nothing is too much trouble - the meals were also superb. I would rate this 10/10 for the whole experience.

We stayed at Clyne Farm for a long weekend. Myself, my wife, my daughter and her partner and our 2 young grandchildren plus our family dog. From beginning to end was faultless and totally enjoyable. Our accommodation had been thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. There was a very thoughtful and kind welcome pack awaiting us which included some local produce and even a welcome pack with some goodies and a toy for our dog. We travelled from our home in the Midlands and received a call from 'Anna' whilst en route informing us that our accommodation was ready ahead of schedule if we wanted to arrive earlier. From the time of original booking we received regular polite and welcome communication which was very reassuring. On the day of departure, I had a problem with my vehicle and as such was late in leaving Clyne Farm. The staff remained polite, helpful and understanding and did not put us under any pressure to vacate the property and they rescheduled their cleaning routine accordingly. We explored numerous beaches during our stay and our dog has had the best exercise ever. We were fortunate to have good weather but nevertheless our time indoors was also enjoyable. Crisp and clean bed linen and towels were provided together with adequate cooking facilities and TV & DVD player. Clyne Farm rates high on our list of venues to return to.

We booked an hour long lesson for our children (age 6 & 10). The school is set in a beautiful spot surrounded by stunning views of the local landscape. Hayley was very welcoming, the atmosphere was calm and relaxed and the instructor’s style gave the children confidence despite neither having ridden before. The lesson was structured well, plenty of encouragement was given by the instructor and the children had huge grins on their faces throughout. A wonderful experience, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. We will definitely be back.

I ride regularly at Rockwood and the tutors and horses/ponies cannot be faulted. Safety of visitors and welfare of the ponies are their top priorities on this well organised, friendly yard. By having regular lessons and one off holiday sessions you are allowed to develop more experience such as helping to groom, untack, putting ponies into the field after working etc. under supervision. Young people are allowed to help out at weekends once experienced / mature enough. Sometimes take a while to get back to you if you leave a message in the week, but they do respond. Weekends are the best time to ring, when the office is staffed all day. Rockwood happily copes with new and experienced riders of all ages (I returned to riding after a 20 year break) and differentiates in ability not age. Holiday times include fun sessions for different abilities e.g. Intro to Ponies for very young children, Intro to jumping, Forestry rides, Jumping and Dressage events. Situated on a lovely site with direct access to their own land and mountain for hacking.
