Located on a beautiful bay on the coast of Montenegro, Kotor is a city steeped in tradition and history, with remarkable scenic views. A UNESCO World Heritage site, the old city was built between the 12th and 14th centuries and is filled with medieval architecture and historic monuments. Kotor’s city walls are formidable and provide excellent examples of fortress structures. They remind me of the Great Wall of China as they uniquely wind their way up the mountain behind Kotor’s Old Town to the Church of Our Lady of Health and beyond, offering an excellent view of Kotor and beyond.

This is much the same as a number of other squares however there is a set of stairs in the corner which gives free access to a small part of the city walls. Worth popping up for a different perspective

Beautiful, so beautiful. Big square with restaurants and amazing cathedral that you have to visit. It is cathedral with interesting and amazing history, and it is so beautiful inside.
We will meet in front of shopping center "Kamelija" and walk to the old road that was the only connection between old Montenegro and Boka bay. Then we will hike to the old mountain village called "Spiljari".We will meet local people who still live there and you will have a chance to try unique homemade cheese, ham and rakija. Then we'll climb to the fortress "San Giovanni" and enjoy the view.
