This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the former capital of Laos, and you'll see everything from golden-roofed temples to vestiges of colonial French architecture here. Buddhist monasteries abound in Luang Prabang, and early every morning, monks process through the streets collecting alms (their food for the day). If you want to watch or participate, though, ask your hotel for a brief etiquette lesson first—you have to distribute the food in a specific manner.

There are a few well known traditional Lao restaurants in Luang Prabang and although their menus may provide a larger selection of Lao choices (though Cafe Kaipen also has falang food, including breakfast), Cafe Kaipen is completely on par with these other restaurants in terms of quality of food served (at a price that is substantially more inexpensive). The food here is well worth checking out.We are so happy that you enjoyed our food and thank you so much for taking the time to write about us. For someone who has travelled like you, we appreciate your words very much. It was great talking with you and I hope the rest of your trip goes great :-)

Bee Tree is located in Muang Ngoi Neua. It's just at the end of the main street. It's nice garden with the valley and mountain view. We are making the garden more and more nicer. You can get there by boat if you are in Nongkhiaw and by walk if you are in
Look, this place is an oasis! Delicious food (one of the best restaurants we have eaten in south east Asia), cocktails are on a international level (come for the happy hours between 6 and 8), very cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, decent downtempo electronic music! A place you would rarely expect in a remote village :)

Dyen Sabai offers Lao typical food. From November to August, we offer breakfast. We also have a nice selection of desert (foreigner sweet.. sorry the Laotians don't eat that much sweet!!) We also, have happy hour from noon to 7 pm, 2 cocktails for the pri
Firstly the pedestrian bridge to cross the river is built every year (what a marvel) and lasts until the first floods. What a unique experience for us right from the start. We were efficiently welcomed at Dyen Sabai and we found a little nook with scattered cushions and a low table. We ordered our first Laos BBQ and had a demo when our food bowls arrived. O My what a treat! A section of the table was removed and a bucket of glowing hot coals was slotted into the table itself. Our cooking apparatus was placed on top. It had a slotted metal dome with a moat. Our lovely waiter poured some broth into the moat from our kettle and used chopsticks to rub a piece of pork fat over the dome - this was ultimately to stop the meat / soya sticking to it when cooking. We had fresh herbs and eggs also that we put into the broth to cook whilst we cooked the meat / soya. We cooked and ate at the same time and entered our own little world concentrating on the fresh delightful food. The food was fantastic and fresh. There are lots of little alcoves for privacy and family group facilities - but I would highly recommend you BOOK.it was dark when we returned across the bridge. A few beers later the water rushing below our feet and the little lights made a memorable experience. There is a toll - a family member sat in a hut at the end of the bridge. The money pays for the construction of a new bridge next year.Go Go Go - we loved it! Thank you to the people of LaoWe cannot recommend highly enoughThank you for visiting and your review, we are glad that you had a great time in our restaurant. Looking forward to see you again soon

Lao and Thai food Restaurant which serves daily fresh fried dishes such as fried rice, stir-fried chicken or pork topped on jasmine rice, Pad Thai and some typical Luang Prabang food.
Came here based on TA reviews - for once theyâre on the money. Weâve been finding Laos pricey compared to other areas of Asia. Here you will find fresh, cheap and tasty food! Cooked in front of you at the front of someoneâs house. Drinks good. Portions hugeAlso 2 small puppies to keep everyone smiling!! Weâre moving hotels anyway and we decided to go with the one nearest here... Do visit. Although not when weâre there as youâll get in the way of our puppy time. Thanks
