Sometimes called the “Portuguese Rome” for its many churches, Braga is an ancient town in northwest Portugal. Its history and livelihood are tied to Christianity dating to the 3rd century. The city’s 12th-century Sé (Cathedral) is still one of the most popular attractions. Just outside of town lies the renowned Bom Jesus de Monte pilgrimage sanctuary, with its striking Baroque stairway. After dark, the stoic town turns upside down, with a rich nightlife thanks to its many university students.

It's perfect! Try the toasts--excellent mixture of ingredients with incredible flavors--proscuitto, salad greens, fruit, nuts, and cheese. It's a new concept and it works well.Kudos to Teresa, the owner who has designed an incredible menu, wine selections, and lovely setting. Don't miss this great find.We also ordered a cheese plate that was the best we had in Portugal. Everything on the menu is superb.Dear Margaret K, Thank you for your lovely comments. It was a pleasure having you here. We hope to see you again in the future.

Portuguese regional mediterranean food, wines, tapas and snack house, sitting over Roman ruines from over 2.000yo visible through the glass floor.
2 minutes away from Arco da Porta Nova, it's a very cosy small restaurant with a glass floor over Roman remains. Quite interesting. Waiting for your order, you have the chance to contemplate the unusual floor. There is a lot of detailed information about the remains.People are extremely polite and helpful and try their best to understand English. We went for a coffee ten minutes before 1 o'clock and the place was almost empty. After 10 minutes there was no seat available. Full! It means it's popular among the locals too. There is limited outside seating, if the weather is dry.Prices are low and service quick enough.

So far the best breakfast in Braga. I had a salty crepe with cheese, ham and egg and I wished I could have more, it was tasty. Plus a nice big mint cappuchino, I loved it.

We had a delicious lunch here - the â¬8.50 set buffet lunch is great value - and the chocolate tart was also excellent. Braga has some wonderful vegetarian restaurants; we've been going to both Gosto Superior and Anjo Verde for years but we'll definitely be back to Hibiscus as well!

The restaurant aunt Isabel's mission is the relentless pursuit of the best quality/price ratio with regard to the services it provides. In fact, this is the only way we make sense, and we must realize that, from this point of view, our mission is never de
I went to dinner with friends who had booked a table. The restaurant has a pleasant and unpretentious decor but was a bit noisy (it was completely full at a weekend). The staff is welcoming. The food was exceptional, the menu varied giving primacy to the typical portuguese cuisin! I'll be back but maybe on a weekday...

Very good food and service for a fair price in the center of Braga.Extra points for the waiter, which helped us a lot on the menu, plus was very honest about the size of plates (which are very generous) helping us order the correct amount of food, which can be difficult in Portugal!

Great location, food and drink good quality but service slow and forgetful. Starters: the âcaldo verdeâ was too gelatinous, the clams little taste and sandy, but the âpapas Sarrabulhoâ were very tasty and the main dish, grilled roballo fish, was superb. Downside: the wine was very expensive for extremely skimpy glasses. Obrigada pela visita. Os pratos do IGNÃCIO são todos confecionados na hora para que sejam mais saborosos.
