Mouille Point, one of many special places in the Mother City where Table Mountain slopes ever gentler towards its rendezvous with the mighty Atlantic Ocean. The word âMouilleâ, forever connected to lighthouse of the same name, stems from the French word m
The Hussar was soo good that we returned for a second visit. Located in an upscale, safe area of Capetown and less than a 10 minute uber or 25 min walk from the VA waterfront its worth a visit from wherever your staying. The menu offers a variety of traditional steak cuts as well as lamb and game dishes. It was difficult to decide. They even came to the table with the steak cuts to choose from. My friend had the steak, I had the lamb chops. Both were cooked to perfection; the traditional sides dishes offered were delicious and plentiful, I particularly loved the mashed potatoes, and the side sauces were some of the best I ever tasted. There was an extensive drink menu, we had a mojito and wine both times. The service was flawless, attentive and friendly. We requested Tony for our return visit as he was impeccable. The unbelievable part was the cost, two meals , sides and 4 drinks? 50$ yes.... 50$ including a 20% tip. I couldn't recommend Hussar's grill any higher. Awesome meal and service. Good evening matneastieThank you for a beautifully written review. It is always a pleasure to serve great steaks and certainly more when its appreciated by our guests.Tony is currently on leave, thank you for your kind words,Tony is a real asset to Hussar grill."We love him to bits"Please be assured this review will be passed on to him when his back!We hope to see you soon.Thank you for choosing us!Tracy and Team Hussar

Thyme at Rosemary's is a unique, cozy restaurant situated along the main road of Gansbaai. The restaurant boasts a beautiful garden courtyard serving lunches between 12h00 & 15h30 as well as two lovely interior seating areas with soft music and candlelit
This restaurant has received some good reviews, but our experience was very disappointing. The service was extremely slow - there was only one person serving the five tables. They apparently only had two reservations and were therefore not prepared for the additional walk-ins.Gin & Tonics were served without lemon or ice. The restaurant ran out of bottled still water! My wife's duck breast was over cooked and the portion was very small. My kudu curry was tasty, but had been heated up to the point that some of the meat was burned. The restaurant appears to target the overseas tourist market (we were the only locals dining there that evening), and the prices bear testimony there to. We will regrettably not return.Hello MikeC 7806,How do I actually reply to your rating of my business?? Not at all an easy one.Since I, the owner Rosemary, was not immediately called to point out the disaster you had to endure that night, it is not at all possible to reply at this stage. I therefore can only apologise to you for your terrible evening spent under my roof.Kindest regardsRosemary

A warm welcome, all from the staff get a thumbs up, in a cosy place which we found via TripAdvisor. The food was good the wine too. One advise for improvement. The tables are tiny already for two guests. If you order a bottle of white wine as we did, it needs to be chilled. Placing the cooling on the floor close to the guests feet is not suitable. Consider a table mountable wine bucket or at least a wine chiller stand.

A bespoke establishment with elements of industrial and steampunk design that incorporates vintage features with anachronistic modern technology. The interior creates a sassy and sophisticated fantasy world. At Char'd the emphasis is on unusual and innova
Waited full 30 mins to be served. Asked for our order before we had seen the steak tray, on which were not in the end dry aged but simply unusual cuts of (wet aged) meat (that in UK you would stew due to chewy nature). Dry aged was never mentioned, so that appears to be a bit of a âconâ. Wet aged ribeye was very good. Beer of the month off. Much of the wine rather expensive.HIThank you for taking the time to write to usJust to clarify all meat that was shown on that tray is all dry aged, We portion, vac pac and label 1 hour before service every day. So that tray has been matured in the dry aged fridge for 4 weeksIts a pity you did not try one of the cuts you say is stew meat as Those cuts, matured properly and treated with care can be more tender than a fillet and more flavorful that a Chuck. Please keep in mind we also have T bones, Tomahawks etc available but as we cut them they sell out really fast.Thank you for your feedback and sorry if you feel the service was slow, will investigate thatKind RegardsPetri

We had a delightful dinner in a gorgeous setting. Being a fussy eater it would take a lot for me to try new things. So glad that the smells from the kitchen entice a bite of every delicious morsel. The service was also lovely to suit a special evening.

Staying in the area , we took the opportunity to eat here twice and thoroughly enjoyed our meals on both occasions. The steaks here are fantastic! We had the oysters to start, which were creamy and tender, then the surf and turf..perfectly cooked steak, followed by the pear tarte tatin (my fave!) We came back for the oysters and steak, they were so good. Our two servers were Best and Mr Q, both looked after us very well, were helpful and friendly. The restaurant is upstairs in the Checkers mall, really nice decor and ambience, is very popular so booking is essential. They are open for lunch too. Highly recommended.
