With a late arrival at our holiday apartment in Pelzerhaken, we dropped into this restaurant around 10pm - there was only one other couple in there who had come for a drink. Nevertheless, staff reactivated the kitchen and served us gyros with tzatziki, a mixed salad and french fries. As we were not too hungry, we ordered only one portion but what they served was a portion for three - we were unable to finish the food! They also gave us two free ouzos with the meal! The quality of the food was good, the staff was outstanding - we'll come again!

Wir wollten uns mit 5 Personen ( 4 Erwachsene , 1 Kind ) noch etwas zu Abend gönnen . Dort angekommen : drauÃen noch 1 Tisch frei , der zweite folgte kurz darauf . Die 2 fehlenden Stühle mussten wir uns selbst organisieren...nicht das Problem . Der Kellner ( es stellte sich im Nachhinein raus , das es der Besitzer war ) fragte ob es ein Problem sei , dass das Essen ca. 30 min. nach Bestellung erst serviert werden könnte ...wir stimmten zu ! Doch zur Bestellung kam es erst gar nicht im Zeitraum von über einer Stunde !!!Wir saÃen da und folgten den Gesprächen & ÃuÃerungen der anderen Gäste, ab & zu wurde ein Salat serviert , eine Kellnerin lief die ganze Zeit mit einer Flasche Ouzo auf & ab und schenkte den wartenden Gästen einen ein . Dann nach ca. 65 min. Wartezeit wurde uns auch ein Warte-Ouzo serviert . GIA MA V ( oder jamas gesprochen ) , zum Wohl !!!Ein anderer Kellner versuchte verzweifelt, zahlungswillige Gäste zu finden ... der Chef lief auf & ab und probierte die Gäste mit lockeren Sprüchen aufzumuntern...die Lage eskalierte so langsam...auch das Personal wurde unruhig und kribbelig.Ein Gast sprang mit groÃem Kragen auf und beschwerte sich beim Kellner , wieso sie 90 Minuten warten müssten ohne etwas serviert zu bekommen ! Er diskutierte lautstark mit dem Chef und zahlte letztendlich die Getränke & das Büfett der beiden Kinder . Dann wurde es auch uns zu âbuntâ und wir verlieÃen die Lokalität nach ca. 80 Minuten.Unglaublich aber wahr...P.S. Andere , benachbarte Gäste erzählten uns , das es fast immer so ist und sie nur deshalb wiederkommen ! Einfach kann jeder, abenteuerlich nicht !

Ein Grieche bei dem man in Neustadt gewesen sein muss. Im Sommer die Tische drauÃen direkt am Hafen sind der Knaller. Wir kommen schon seit Jahren hier zum Essen und sind jedesmal wieder begeistert. Die gemischten Platten und das Bifteki sind immer einen Besuch wert. Die Preise für das Essen und die Getränke sind angemessen.

We had a lovely meal here but unfortunately the service was poor. Our meal on a whole was good. The pork casserole with cheese was very tasty, as was the salmon with jacket potato but other things let the restaurant down. Our shared started plater arrived, the plates came 10 minutes later, 2 of our meals were cold, they were changed quickly but even so, we found the service poor. We felt there was a lack of staff, and because of this no one checked that everything was ok. So - tasty food, poor service.

Originally wanted to go to Johannsen's down the road, which, on a Friday night at 9pm in low season, had already send the cook home. Akropolis was the only place around that was still open (except for the doner place next door which did not look very inviting). Second time we tried Johannsen's they were so busy they had no table, so we went back to Akropolis. Both times Akropolis served great Greek food, preceeded by a complimentary glass of ouzo and ended with a complimentary plate of Greek yoghurt with honey. I like Johannsen's for the atmosphere but boy am I glad it couldn't accomodate us as otherwise we would have missed this rather authentic Greek restaurant. We truly enjoyed our visit, both times.

We moored our yacht on the harbour wall and enjoyed a delightful supper. The owner (I think) was absolutely charming and the food was excellent. Best to eat upstairs as the view across the river is great. The food was first class and the service great. Definitely to be recommended.

We spend a night at a nearby hotel and stumbled into this nice, very small restaurant. As an advise, make a reservation! Then you will get a table and be able to test the wonderful food. Without a reservation you must be lucky. You can also take out the food in case you donât want to wait for a table. The owner family running it is very nice and helpful. The restaurant has a very good value. I would go there any time again, we highly enjoyed our dinner there.
