Since my last visit both the service and the upkeep of the building is much improved. Service is now more responsive to customers and faster (from 18.00h onward) and 'old-school' friendly during lunch times. The outside glass-steel canopy has gotten a new paint of coat, the glass roof was cleaned. Very nice. Food is better than it was when I was here a few years ago, alas, the industrial potato dough still prevents the complete enjoyment of the otherwise splendid Pfifferlinge dish. The beautiful location and the garden terrace is the main reason to visit.

Liked this restaurant. Nice location on an old Saarbrueck square surrounded by old houses & church. One doesn´t come across locations like that too often in Saarbruecken. As for the food, this is definately an upgrade in comparison with the first restaurant Zahm in SB. Better card, more original food, more creativity. The restaurant itself looks cosy & modern at the same time. Especially whenever the owner Jurgen is around, be sure to ask for wine recommendations and wines off the wine card. All in all the food is correct though not upscale, very good price / quality ratio and pleasant environment. I certainly recommend a visit here though parking could be better.

I already ate three times in this Restaurant.This is a good drinking spot they have a couple of good wines. The food is eatable the portions way too big and the disches over seasoned sometimes. I would recommand it to go get a drink with a friend but not for a romantic dinner.

The food is traditional saarland style. The Dibbelabbes is a must try although it is quite expensive considering the ingredients are just some basic stuff plus flour...Good spot for junk food if you love fried food...Ambience is nice and service is good. Overall perhaps better for a drink than a full on dinner. Better to go in summer where it is nicer to sit outside.

...serving local food and a pretty good beer. Despite service is very good, food was average to good, thus we likely would go next time and try another restaurant, since there are plenty available around same place.

We followed the recommendations and it was a good experience. Fast and Personal self-serving Service. Sitting outside very closed to the main court. The dishes were tasty. Fries a special flavour. The mayonaise and the ketchup beside were kalinski-style we had only there. The salad was ok. But the sourrounding and the options afterwards were closed to. So we could recommend too.

On warm summer afternoon the terrace and beer garden with its wooden tables and benches is a delightful place to sit, drink, eat and watch the passing cyclists, and the ducks and geese of the nearby slow-moving Saar river. The food is German fare with a regional Saarland touch. It is good, not great. Sauerbraten with gravy and 'Hoorische' (elongated potato dumplings), the Wiener Schnitzel (pork, not veal unfortunately), the Apfel Kuechel (deep fried, not pan fried, again: unfortunately) were all good, the Espresso with Eier Likoer is a gigantic concoction, and very filling, the Erdinger dark Weissbeer is to die for. Service has vastly improved over the years, which is good. The inside of the restaurant is nicely decorated, Bavarian style. Parking available. Recommended.

Nicely appointed beer garden, very friendly staff, tender meat, fresh vegetables - do I need to write more? We discovered this by accident and were very happy about it. This restaurant has been rated by guide michelin and we think its worth the short drive from Saarbrucken....this is now our first choice after our horseback adventures at the nearby Stone Hill Ranch.
