We have frequented this park on and off for 15 years. Lovely spots to picnic, pavilions to host reunions and get togethers at, extensive playground equipment, wide open spaces to play frisbee or games and plenty of space to walk around. Great views of Hudson!

After having an early dinner out, we decided to take a walk through the park and out onto the dike. There were a lot of people out walking solo, in twos, and with dogs. There was a lone cyclist who looked like he was sight-seeing. It was a warm Fall day with a breeze, and very nice. It was pretty quiet except for the people roaring around in a speed boat just off of the swimming beach and north of the dike. I thought that was no-wake; I could be wrong, but they could get a big ticket some time from one of the sheriff's departments. Other boats were going slow. I guess that needs to be patrolled more often! It was not safe for other small boats. Of course, there was a knot of waiting people we had to walk through to go back to our car. I don't know if Afton's dinner cruise was running late, or if they were early. The park was very neat and clean. A lot of people were enjoying it. Nice walk.

Our RVA family went to FROZEN II with the RVA group & had a great time. The theatre was cleaned between showings & the popcorn was tasty. They had hot dogs & such on the menu that seemed a reasonable price. Nice reclining seats were very comfortable.

22 Outdoor paintball courses with hills, valleys, buildings, bunkers, army trucks and air planes. Walking paintball games every weekend and private groups taken seven days a week.
Did this as a different experience for some European friends. We had a group of 11, adults and kids as young as 10. Because of the size of our group we did private games which I would highly recommend. Some of the other groups looked like professionals so I don't think open play would be much fun. Our ref Carl was very helpful, showed us what to do, took us to different parts of the park. It isn't cheap but it is a fun way to spend a few hours.
