Through sheer luck, we were able to snag a campground site that someone had canceled. We had a walk-in site, which I highly recommend if you don't mind hauling your equipment a short walk from the parking lot. These sites also seem newer than others in the site. Some walk-in sites even have a view of the lake! Another plus is the proximity to the trail that leads down to the lake. There's plenty to do around the campground, and while we did make our way to the day-use area, I definitely think that the area around the campground is the best. Gold Creek is great to take a boat, floatie, or a paddleboard out on.

This is a park that brings you back to nature for all family members. Easy to take a stroll along the reasonable flat gravel trails or another option is to go along the river side. Park has few picnic tables for enjoying a nice lunch, also available are toilets along the trail side. NOTE: Bears maybe in the area!

Alouette Lake is in Golden Ears Provincial Park. Beautiful large trees. A very large provincial park. Lots of places, trails, hikes and beach. Good kayaking place.

Great for a picnic for all ages because it's a relaxing peaceful atmosphere and the playground allows the children to run around having fun while adults can visit.

This is a great meeting spot with a great market on Saturdays during the summer months. It’s next to a small mall and a wonderful Rec Centre with a pool. Great place to spend a few hours sampling local produce and awesome artisan markets stalls with a great selection of wares.
