I have driven past Inverary Castle many times and looked way up at the monument high up above the castle, my eldest son has completed the walk/hike on several occasions, and knowing I like walking we decided to drive the 90 miles to Inverary for the day. Anyone who enjoys a walk and a challenge will not be dissapointed as it is beautiful especially from the top. I have had both knees replaced and have a dodgy hip,so if I can do it, most can as well. it is well worth the effort looking accross Loch Fyne and the mountains breathtaking!! Roy A

We don't often get the chance to Inverarary, but when we do we always go to see Andy the owner, he never forgets a face and is a welcome sight to him every time we visit. His shop is much more better than loch fyne whiskies and you get much more than just buying whisky it's an education. Love Andy and hope he's still there in years to come.

Inveraray's only all year round Christmas shop was opened in 2010. Filled with lots of special memories for your Christmas tree. We stock scents, toys, cards and lots more. On the run up to Easter we also stock Easter tree decorations for those who can't resist. We are a small family run business and we aim to be open 6 days a week with reduced hours in the winter time.
A welcoming quaint little Christmas shop in Inverary full of lovely decorations etc. Worth a visit. Central location

Went in for a particular malt, was recommended one as better than its more expensive bottlings which is definitely true! Large selection, knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Purdie’s of Argyll is a family-run company that makes soaps, candles and skin care products on the west coast of Scotland. All of our soaps and beauty products are handmade using certified organic base ingredients. Those ingredients are then blended with pure essential oils to produce a unique and ethical product that contains no nasties, is vegan friendly and has never been tested on animals. You can discover the full Purdie's range of beauty products for yourself on a visit to our shop in picturesque Inveraray. The town sits on the western shore of Loch Fyne and is home to a castle, (ancestral home to the Campbell Clan), a jail, (open all year round to visitors), and the author, Neil Munro's, famous Vital Spark Puffer. Purdie's shop sits near the top of Main Street directly opposite the renowned George Hotel and can be reached in just over an hour from Glasgow by car or bus.
Stumbled across this shop and noticed three sell some bits for men such as beard oil and soap. Reasonably priced so thought I’d give it a go. Amazed! By a mile the best product I have ever used and this includes Kielhs beard out which is over £40 and half the size. The quality of the product was obvious from the 1st use and only gets better with time. I recommend all beardies ditch what they are using for a bit and give this a go. The fragrance is amazing too and actually quite therapeutic, especially the lavender and menthol as I was feeling poorly and feel so much better. Such a great product, both the oils and the soap.
