Cozy place with communal tables and cheap homemade wine. Stopped by for a quick drink and was met with the friendly owner who was watching TV. He didn't speak English, but poured me a glass of his white wine and let me chill. Wine was good, and he claimed that it was local. Some people dropped by and chatted with him. At the end, it was only €2.50. When night drops, he takes out some tables and chairs to chill outside.

We visited the center of Frascati during our wine tour with The Old Frascati Wine Tour (see full review on their page;) ... Our guide took us to some really great spots that were off the beaten path and would have been pretty hard to find on our own including the oldest and last wood burning oven in town (amazing pizzas, bread and 'porchetta') and really cute piazzas and shops, tasting delicious local products along the way. We had considered taking a day trip to Tuscany but when we considered the price and time commitment we opted for The Old Frascati Wine Tour and we're so glad we did! The town is an easy 25 minute train ride from Rome (and costs only 2.10 euro) and the whole half-day tour only cost 55 euro and included this walking mini food & wine tour around town, transportation to the family-fun winery (everyone there was so sweet and knowledgeable) and finished with lunch in a locals-only restaurant back in the center of town. Great value, great fun! Grazie!

We were in Frascati with a group of friends on a day trip out of Rome and after climbing the steps from the train station up to the town we eventually found our way to the main town square where this beautiful cathedral is. The facade is so beautiful and inside we met Father Mark who told us a little of the history of the cathedral which dates back to 1598 although the impressive front wasn't added until much later. He akso told us that from the altar looking forward through the front door it was possible to see the dome of St. Peter's in Rome in the distance and thus connect the two St. Peter's. I was also interested to see a statute of St. Rita at the front of the church along with St. Anthony and have since researched St. Rita which I didn't know about.
