Dendy Park

I love the Dendy park walking area as it is so dog friendly. There is an excellent amount of off-leash area so both doggies and humans can get some exercise and the socialising aspect for dogs is excellent. It’s great to be able to throw a ball for your dog on a large oval as well, very good exercise area.

Brighton Bathing Boxes

Reviewed By ET3121 - Greater Melbourne, Australia

A quirky Melbourne icon that is definitely worth a visit if you have spare time. The colourful bathing boxes are a popular photo opportunity. Just be aware that they are much treasured family heirlooms or investments and are used frequently by their owners during summer. Nearby are many excellent eateries and bars. TIP: you can catch the Sandringham Train line from city and get off at Middle Brighton Station (this line isn’t as packed as others). Than walk 1.1kms

Really loved the enclosed space on one of the last days of summer. Perfect opportunity to take a dip and reflect on bathing trends over the years. The kids are safely enclosed and busy jumping off the boardwalk. Fantastic :)

The first St Andrews Church was consecrated in 1842. It went through several reconstructions, the last in 1962 after a disastrous fire, though previous elements remain. The final form is Modern Gothic. St Andrews is one of the oldest Anglican Churches in Victoria, and it also has an rare intact pre-goldrush graveyard. By the way, St Andrews has active English and Chinese congregations.

Brighton's Foreshore Reserve is a great place for a family picnic. The adults can relax while the youngsters paddle in the water. Brighton is located on Port Phillip Bay; the Bay water is rarely rough. The lawn is well-mown. Brighton has a touch of class, making it a look-alike for its sister city for Brighton in Southern England
