Absolutely phenomenal value for money and wonderful way to spend a few hours. We visited the brewery on a rainy Tuesday with very little expectation and were delighted to find a warm and friendly staff to greet us with a pint awaiting. The quality of the beer is beyond reproach and both the tour guide Louise (the daughter of the CEO no less) and the barman, Jason were flawless. By far the best value for money of any distillery or brewery tour I have ever done. Cannot recommend enough.

Philleigh Way is a cookery school based in south Cornwall that also offers unique dining experiences. Bordering the river Fal with the ocean a few miles away this balanced landscape of arable fields, pasture and ancient oak woodland is an inspirational place to learn about food and its provenance. The cookery school is run by brothers-in-law James Martin and chef George Pascoe who belongs to the fifth generation of Pascoes to hail from Court Farm, Philleigh, Cornwall. Their Next Generation Farmhouse Cookery style is inspired by recipes handed down over the generations, fantastic local produce and experience gained working in some of the top kitchens in Cornwall and around the globe. Their creativity, knowledge and enthusiasm make it the perfect place to reconnect with the land and sea, learn some old and new recipes and cook with some of the freshest seasonal ingredients Cornwall has to offer.
From the moment you arrive in unspoiled, beautiful, rural Philleigh you just know you are going to experience cooking with a difference. It is surrounded by an abundance of woodlands and the local produce is exceptional quality. When I drove up to cookery school, the smell of the outside smoking (catering size) bbq was such a welcome addition!!! I knew straight away that the south east asian cooking class was going to be a memorable one. Having recently done a cookery course with Jamie Oliver and Waitrose in central London, Philleigh Cookery School is up there with a wealth of modern dishes and incredible talent. Rupert is eager to share with you all his worldly culinary knowledge and give great tips that are game-changers in the kitchen. Rupert has an incredible range of knowledge not only about every food known to man, (galangal is now a staple at home) but also about Cornwall itself. I would highly recommend taking a weekend Philleigh Cookery Course, all the dishes I made there have somehow worked their magic into so many of my usual dishes too. I am now fully stocked with tips and new gadgets that are not just gathering dust!!!

The white and green striped stalls of Truro Farmers Market are at the grassroots of Cornwall’s culinary scene; come and discover the best produce our county has to offer! Soak up the smells of freshly baked bread and smoked fish, rows of perfect blue duck eggs, preserves in a rainbow of colours and cakes to make your mouth water. A friendly welcome is guaranteed from the traders, some of whom are truly artisan in scale and others who are courted for their produce by the famous chefs of Cornwall and beyond. As well as the weekly markets on a Wednesday and Saturday, Truro Farmers Market also ‘pops up’ in Falmouth on the pedestrianised area known as The Moor every Tuesday.
Great range of local products and always such a friendly buzz around the market. Always toping up my Gin collection from Elemental Cornish Gin and kimchi from Delea Fermented Foods! The range of fresh food is always a challenge to choose between.

Deep in the heart of the Cornish countryside, we've been making the most of our orchards for over 30 years. Whether it's getting to the core of great flavour or thinking outside the box, we know what it takes to make apples special. Optional tours and experiences take you on a Cyder making journey - from apple to Cider! Take a tractor ride through our Orchards, and sample at least 20 varieties of Cyder, wine and preserves.
What a wonderful surprise treat for my husband's special birthday. An interesting Master Guided Tour, given brilliantly by knowledgeable Dean, all staff were smiling, friendly and helpful, drink tastings and food delicious, all in a relaxing atmosphere. Super experience. Tour and bottle of whiskey paid for by family but generally entrance and tastings free. We will definitely be visiting again.
