The Hawaiian island of Maui is a destination for true nature lovers. The ethereal bamboo forest and churning waterfalls in Haleakala National Park can be explored via the Waimoku Falls Trail. Stretch out on warm, golden sands or hit the surf for an unforgettable windsurfing or snorkeling session. Driving the scenic road to Hana along the island’s northeastern shore will be among the most spectacular journeys of your life. Time stands still at the Hawaiian village of Keanae, definitely worth a visit.

Good: the best mangoes I have ever tasted. Bad: little expensive, bad parking. If you stay in Kihei or Wailea, you must go here to try their mango!

"West Maui's Largest Gift and Craft Fair!" Please come and visit this wonderful Lahaina Craft Fair at the Lahaina Gateway Center every Sunday and see all the wonderful art, jewelry, gifts and crafts made by local artists.
Love how it’s located out on a wide open parking lot - the stalls are easy to walk around and check it out. Great variety of little Knick knacks to choose from. The range of choices from expensive jewelry ( Tahitian pearls ) to five dollar pearls to T-shirt’s and little wooden croaking froggies. Quite a hand full of artists were also showcasing their pictures and art pieces...my ❤️ Were the fresh sugar cane drink and the Maui macaroons !!!! The sugar cane juice was fresh and refreshing on a 100 degree day, and the macaroons were to die for - well worth a Sunday stroll.

We normally go to the market at the university on Saturday but arrived mid-week so needed somewhere to pick up our fresh veg. Finally found this place way down at the very end of Kihei Rd. It was definitely felt like a side of the road farmer's market. Well the things we found here were fantastic. Really great fruit - pineapple and strawberry mango. Great veggies - lettuce, avocados, sprouts, basil, cilantro. You name it, we found it there. The other great thing they have is a cooler with different kinds of homemade sauces. We tried a couple of kinds of salsa, guacamole, basil and macadamia nut pesto and the maul onion vinaigrette. Every one of them were amazing!!!! Prices are comparable to other markets. Selection is way better than the grocery stores...felt fresh and local. It was open every day so we didn't have to plan things out for only one day a week. We would definitely recommend.

We were happy to see our time in Maui included the “Fourth Friday”. The parking lot of the Azeka Mall was filled with local businesses, craft people and Community groups. Local entertainment took to the stage and numerous food trucks peddled their treats. It was a terrific evening for locals and tourists alike and the beauty was it was hard to tell the difference. Nice to feel so at home when so very far away from home. Fourth Friday if every month in Kihei, don’t miss it.
