The picture above is not of this Hardee's(just for the record). This Hardee's is located on the 80/90 Toll Road on the Eastbound side. I always stop here when passing through from Chicago. I love their Turkey Burgers. Prices are a bit higher than normal, but that is because it is a Toll road plaza. I always get treated well here by the employees and they are usually pretty fast. Nothing spectacular here, but you know that a you will get hot food at a fair price.
Picked up dinner. I've been to the location where I live once or twice, and this was my first visit here. Server was patient as I figured out the menu, let me try the honey sesame chicken before I bought it, along with the orange chicken. Appreciate the brown rice option. Food was good, a little high-priced, but I think that's chain-wide. I'd return if in the area.
This is a small hot dog stand, on south side of busy Rt 6 in Portage, bright yellow, AWFUL parking, not much, little in front some in back! It's very dark inside, like they don't have lights or use them. IN summer, NO air conditioning. Who wants to sit and eat and sweat. They have windows open but again it's summer and no air. People who work are polite enuf, nothing outstanding. Food is typical hot dog fare ... dogs, polish (awful, no Maxwell street!), fries (good!), gyros, etc. You do get lots of gyros meat. This is nothing special. Head down to George's on 6 (five miles west) in Hobart, much nicer ambiance and cleaner. This place really is a dump. Pass it up!

Nothing unusual for a Subway, but it was great. Staff was very friendly, food was perfect, and not crowded so in and out quickly. Nothing memorable but nothing bad either. Just exactly what I wanted.
Nothing out of the ordinary, just good food. They don't take Discover cards but they take others. Plenty of seating.

We are a seasonal business near West Beach that operates from spring to early fall every year. We specialize in Chicago Style hot dogs, and proudly serve Vienna Beef. We have outdoor seating only for customers to be able to enjoy the beautiful NW Indiana
If you like trains, simple eating and nothing fancy, Depot Dogs is the ticket. It's bare minimum, maybe even primal, but "all aboard" for an enjoyable experience. The dogs and fries are good with quaint outdoor deck seating for eating. Check your calendar because it's a seasonal stop.
