England, United Kingdom Food Guide: 5 Balti food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Didcot
We're new to the area so didn't know what to expect here. On arrival, it's clean and quite spacious, you can sit in and eat. The guy serving didn't smile once but we thought maybe the area isn't as friendly as we're used to.Anyway we got our takeaway, reasonably priced, and headed to our new home. Unfortunately we couldn't finish our food as the batter was still raw. As it was a takeaway, neither of us could be bothered to drive back to complain.Guess we'll just have to keep trying different places.

We traveled from Kidderminster on our way to Southampton and wanted to have a lunch off the motorway. We stopped in Didcot and found Camar's Cafe. Friendly staff, great food.My wife had baked bean jacket potato with side salad and I had toasted sausage and onion sandwich with side salad It has take-away, delivery, takes bookings, good for groups or parties, catering and table service. Well worth getting away from motorway service stations.

We ordered the Xmas mega deal, which was surprising it was still on offer as we are now in April. But a large 15â pizza, 9â pizza, side and drink for £19.99 isnât bad so I wasnât complaining. We got the Veggie Supreme, and Pepperoni pizza with Cheesy Garlic Bread and a bottle of coke. The delivery was fairly quick considering it was the weekend and the standard of food was fantastic. Will recommend and visit again.

Not quite sure who owns/runs it but as far as a local chippy goes it's pretty damn good. I'd recommend the cod and the large battered sausage. You do get a lot of chips so one portion is enough for 2 people unless your starving that is. I did find I ended up scraping the batter off the cod and just eating the fish as it quickly lost its crispness and became a bit flabby and fatty. But on the whole I think a good 4 stars are deserved. I do prefer a thinner, lighter crispier batter like a Japanese style tempura batter! But that's me.

Very generous portion of chips tough the fish was, by far, the greasiest I have ever had and not a patch on any of the other fish and chip shops I have reviewed. Each to their own, this one's not fo me.
