When I did my research for eating on a budget in Iceland, supermarkets were the way to go. My partner and I lost count of the gas station hot dogs we ate and when we got to Akureyri, we decided to treat ourselves and share a hot sandwich. Still a bit expensive by North American standards but it was one of the best hot sub sandwiches we've eaten. We didn't know it was a chain until we got to Selfoss and saw another (and had another two sandwiches).We split a lamb sandwich and put all the toppings on. There was a good portion of meat, their signature Hlölla sauce and the sub was toasted and a had a bit of a crispy texture.

After a long day of touring Iceland...we did not want to spend tons of money in a good restaurant...had a sub in the room with some good wine while watching a movie on my iPad....loved it!

It is not only noticeable to export Italian cuisine (or better, Neapolitan) to Iceland... It is to be tried above all because it is much better than many other stands in Napoli! The red parmigiana was spectacular, it was like I was having lunch on sunday at my grandma's home! Great Lello, thanks for everything.Thanks for visit and nice rewiev... I Hope we'll meet again here or in Napoli maybe :-)

This place is amazing. Husband and I were in Akureyri for 3 days and went twice. Fantastic variety of fresh and interesting ingredients. Also key to a good salad are the dressings and meat quality, both great. Service very fast and friendly. Do something good for your body without the need to sacrifice flavor!

This great restaurant is near the waterfront and although not large, does offer a wide range of tasty burgers. The first evening there was a little mix up with our order which was quickly put right and showed us that the owner cares about his customers. Although we generally don't eat in the same place twice when on holiday, we felt that the quality and value of the food here would be hard to beat and so we returned and had some tasty double-burgers which hit the spot!
