Things to do in Aintree
Been coming here since it first opened and cant fault it! Wide selection of meals/pizzas/burgers. Sarah, Mike and the staff always go the extra mile if you want to alter your dish in any way. Prompt delivery service too (thanks Ken!)Hi. Thanks for the great review. Hope to see you soon.
A relative of mine had a prolonged stay in Aintree hospital so I got to know the eateries pretty well. This one, just next to the main coffe plave by the main entrance, does not shout out it's wares, but I did notice it was where all the junior doctors were getting their lunch so I tried it.For £2.75 you get a wrap or a flat bread ,with hummus, a choice of chicken fillings ( tandoori, mediterranean, barbecue) and then a choice of salads to go in it, plus a dressing. In-hospital food for relatives is normally so bland this is a real highlight. Unfortunately not open at weekends or in the evening so you have to be there in the day to get the benefitYou can boost your wrap with fries but generally I found the wrap filling enoughThere are a few seats and a counter to sit at. I don't recommend eating while walking or in the car you will get tahini all down your front

Our local chippy. Tried lots of things on the menu and never been disappointed. The chicken kebab or Sweet and Sour chicken are my favourites. Big portions so normally last me two meals. Lovely staff as well.

Coming home from work I usually pass this place so I thought why not give it a try, I ordered a bacon chicken burger and piri piri chips. I got home it was still pretty hot which is always good and it actually tasted pretty good! but I did ask for no tomato's which were still put on. The burger was fresh because I watched them cook the chicken! all in all its a pretty good place for a quick bite to eat! The price is the same as any takeaway which is understandable and the guys in there seem friendly enough.

British Fish and Chips cooked to order. Choice of fish, battered, breaded, poached or floured. Our fishcake recipe came over from Ireland in 1932 and is still made the same way each morning. We offer a Gluten Free option every Monday.
Although it was raining, the queue was out of the door when we joined the end. We had passed many times seeing this sight repeatedly and decided to try it. We were not disappointed. We tried the fish, the fishcake, chips and mushy peas which were excellent. The staff were attentive but seemed tired and needed more staff to cater for the hungry line of customers. Perhaps a number system like mcdonalds might work as people just wanting a portion of chips could be served more quickly and the queue could reduce faster. We definitely would recommend it.Thank you for your review. The servers are new to our 'family' but which each passing day they are getting better and quicker at serving our customers. Although as a family we have been doing this since 1932 in Stuart Road its a whole new set up at Muirhead Avenue. Our sons, Francis and Mark have over 25 years experience between them and even they had trouble the first week getting to know their new cooking range. They will get more adept at picking out the customers not wanting anything cooked to order as they did in Stuart Road, and as you say this helps split the queue into those that need to wait and those that can be in and out. Because of the queue though we have formed long and lasting friendships with our customers over the years, we spend time together and because of this we get to know you and you get to know us, and that's never a bad thing.
