visited this restaurant in July and was surprised by the quality of their food.This is a hidden gem in Tissamaharama.The seafood was super fresh and was spot on.Also the owner is so friendly and service was excellent.Will surely visit again.

We stayed in the hotel rice of life and their restaurant is called The rice, it is new so we asked the chef to prepare whatever he wanted as long as it was not too spicy. We had amazing meals which we never had before in SL. there was always some rice obviously but in small quantities and always with different taste and amazing preparation.. Just loved the food. At breakfast we were expecting a continental but the chef keeped trying to surprise us with string hoppers in a egg sauce... Stopped here for lunch after checking out from Ruhunu Safari before heading to Tangalle. The food was delicious and well presented. I definitely recommend the seafood platter, and their juice's were excellent. Staff was friendly and pleasant. We had out dinner at this place...the food was really yummy and the exceptional dish was cheese pasta..it was extremely lovely...I would like to recommend this place for the others as well...this is the best place to expend your time on vacation at Tissamaharama...we are looking forward to keep coming here.
