£200 for two is obviously an expensive meal and though there are some very good points the food isn't of a high enough standard to justify the price. A crab dish with shell in it is not good and the beef was tough and lacked flavour. It is a beautiful place, the service is excellent (though you might expect the diners to make an effort dress wise). The wine is very good but, again, the food simply isn't outstanding nor does it have a wow factor like equivalent fine dining establishments elsewhere. Great shame as we enjoyed the overall ambience. But when you pay those kind of prices you won't be going back if the food is less than perfect.Loses one star for the food and another for the inflated prices.Dear stephendorril, We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts following your recent dining experience with us. Obviously it is disappointing that the overall experience was not as you nor I would expect, however it is great to read that you felt that the ambiance and service was of a high standard.I will ensure that the chef is aware of your comments regarding the food. We hope to be able to welcome you back in the not too distant future, allowing us so show the quality of food that so many people know of us for. Kind regardsJack Senior Assistant Manager

Good food. Good service. Attractive presentation and environment. Attention to detail. A fine dining experience in the heart of Worcestershire. This restaurant established a reputation for top quality cuisine years ago, and continues its high standards. After a variety of starters - all delicious - our party opted for different main courses, including turbot, wild sea bass, and lamb noisettes with vegetable accompaniment. We would recommend any of these dishes. Puddings selected included sticky toffee pud, a rich chocolate confection and an utterly delicious lemon tart with embellished with a dainty scoop of lemon sorbet. The petit fours served with coffee rounded off the meal beautifully. This is not a big restaurant, and the bar area and entrance was rather crowded when we arrived, which made it less than comfortable for pre-dinner drinks. With so many people crowded into a small space , much better if diners were allowed to take their drinks through to the dining room and enjoy them at their tables. Nobody likes being packed like sardines while waiting, or to feel they are in the way of staff and other diners. Otherwise, a lovely evening

Tasty tapas & a fun vibe are what awaits you at Casa Med. A family ran restaurant serving Mediterranean tapas, a super social way of eating, share & enjoy!
We have just come back from our lunch we had at Casa Med tapas bar in Bromsgrove High Street. The bar is placed in centre of Bromsgrove. We have had a voucher of £70 from our daughter at our 32 years anniversary of our marriage. We have been greeted by our hosts at the entrance. The place seemed to be from the first look very friendly and the place stuff contributed fully to this impression. Our reservation brought us at a table of two which worked perfectly for us.We have been served immediately with water and the menus were brought for order the food and drinks.A specificity of the place is that the food is served immediately from the kitchen as soon as it was ready regardless the other food ordered...In this way the food is always warm and you would have short breaks between the dishes. The place is a tapas bar with Mediterranean specific food, so we have enjoyed hummus, halloumi, monkfish, marinated chicken and fried calamari. At starter we had handmade garlic flatbread with olive oil we served with hummus. This was delicious along with the hummus balls..The entire food was seasoned with inspired and assorted spiced sauces. The drinks we had were appropriate for the ordered food as the Pinot Grigio has a specific sweet aroma. What we ordered was enough for the lunch, but we wanted to have the house desert. We choose brownies with chocolate topping which were delicious, but not really Medditeran dessert. I would recommend to the place to try something specific as tiramisu, panacota or even baklava in order to be 100% Mediterranean..You could add at dessert time a digestive drink which is traditional in Medditerean countries...and you could make this free of charge. In general, we were very satisfied with the food in terms of quality and diversity. The bill was decent as well...we still have a voucher remaining for the next time as we haven't spent the entire voucher gift. The toilet was very clean as well. The guests were focused on the food and it looks that the bar is very popular as you are invited to book upfront a table. We are recommending the place for anyone who wants to eat food specific to Mediterranean zones.Hi Danut,Firstly congratulations on your 32 years of marriage and thank you for choosing to celebrate your anniversary with us. It was really lovely to read your review. We are always so grateful when our customers take time to share their experiences with us and it sounds like you had a great time.Thank you for your suggestions on the desserts, I will pass this on to our kitchen team and head chef.We really do hope to see you again,Best wishesCatherine and Team Casa

Oh, I wish that every restaurant could serve food as nice as La Brasserie, with service as cheerful and informative as La Brasserie, at a cost in the same price range as La Brasserie, the world would indeed be a great place to dine out just like La Brasserie.£20 for three courses, £17.50 for two courses including coffee or English tea.

This is a great place to eat, the food is delicious and reasonably priced. watch out though - they have large portions. From the outside it almost looks like a lunchtime cafe, but the evening food is a pleasant surprise, well worth venturing in.

Great to eat here as , it was interesting to view all the many artefacts that hung from the ceiling !Starve yourself before coming here as , you have to eat a 'Starter, a Main and a Dessert ' at £22.95 as , there is a set menu ! Personally speaking , I did not want to eat that much but ,the chef tailored everything to smaller portions for me ! What we chose to eat , from the menu was , really delicious ! Well done Chef !
