We ate our evening meal here overlooking the beautiful harbour. The waiter was friendly and helpul. We had a starter each, fillet steak was beautifully cooked and came with a peppercorn sauce. The chicken with mushroom sauce was delicious. Both came with a side salad and gorgeous home-cut chips. We had an alcoholic drink each and the bill came to â¬56. About average for the harbour side restaurants. We're here for a week and will definately go back for dinner on another evening. Highly recommended

We had some great meals at Taverna Amelia. The first night we were greeted like old friends, felt so welcome! Our son and girl friend who joined us the first night in Sissi were really surprised en felt very welcome as well.The food was delicious as always. We had a great fish platter and hubby enjoyed the steak with pepper sauce. Most nights there is a couple coming in for some songs, we love it. Thanks Lorents and staff, they are all working so hard and stay calm and very friendly!

Really lovely place! By far the nicest atmosphere we came across in Sissi. A beautiful garden with a brilliant view over the bay. Quiet and unassuming place with really fresh ingredients and all for a good price! Highly recommend!

While the owners and staff try their best to convince you choose their restaurant and order their food, the quality they offer is not representative of the one you can traditionally find in a Greek island such as Crete. First, their portions are amazingly small. Second, the variety is limited and they purposefully use limited amount of the ingredients which are quite expensive when preparing their dishes. This does not only renders the dishes much more expensive than the average but destroys the purity of their taste. There are much better choices in the market. Avoid it at any cost.

The place was busy and had a good vibe with lovely views over the harbour.We had muscles to start ... they certainly were not fresh ... having asked about the fish for main course we were advised some dishes were frozen...not expected from a sea front location to be honest!The service was good but we hadnât finished our starter before the main course arrived.All in all an average meal in a nice location but there are much better places to go in Sissi

We travel to Sissi every year and on our recent trip in June we ended up having drinks in Skipper every night! Great views, clean and modern interior, the best drinks and music but most of all the best hosts! Thanks to Niko for always looking after us!Canât wait to return! Traditional family run restaurant and bar with warm and friendly service. The home made food is delicious, with a free glass of port liqueur and fruit to finish. There are tables inside and outside in the attractive garden and there is a childrens` play area at the rear. The restaurant cats are well behaved and the new kitten is adorable. Thanks to George and his family for all the helpful information they gave us during our many visits.

We stopped here for coffee and a late breakfast and to enjoy the lovely views. The frappe and cappuccino were great but the crepe and waffle we ordered were amazing! Freshly prepared and delicious. The only downside was they were so big we couldnât eat it all. Thank you.
