Called in here today with my beautiful Irma, who is a regular here and also Portuguese so she chose for me. It was just a quickie as we had a appointment elsewhere so she chose the pastel de nato and a Portuguese espresso shot each for us. I wasnât sure how to destruct this deliciously moreish morsel so started with the spoon and then just had to dive in! The staff here are very welcoming and friendly and the seating area spacious and clean. I will be visiting again either with my Irma or to introduce my boys to traditional Portuguese food!!:))

As soon as you get through the door you are in eastern Europe and make sure you are hungry. Don't miss out on the beetroot soup Borsch, but it is a meal on its own. Great place, nice people, good food. What more could you want....

Welcome to the Iron Forge. A great place to bring your family for a tradition carvery. We also offer a great range on our main menu. With a cosy bar hosting BTsports for your sporting needs. With a children's play area to keep them entertained.
Visited recently about 6pm, found a free table and ordered 2 gammon meals from the 2 for £11 menu. Only had to wait about 15 mins for the food to arrive, everything was cooked perfectly, the chips, a lovely thick gammon steak and garden peas. Both the service and the food has improved greatly since the current manager took over. Tables are cleared and cleaned straight away and the staff look much happier, will definitely return.Thank you for your feedback. I'm delighted to hear you had a great time with us at The Iron Forge and that you took advantage of our great meal offers and that your overall experience with us has been extremely positive. Thank you again, we hope to see you again soon!

Staff were great - they took time out to explain each dish, and offered recommendations which were greatly appreciated!Their pierogi is amazing! I would also recommend the pork neck too - especially with the mashed potatoes - and the pancake with cheese. We all left stuffed, and for about £12pp we were very happy customers indeed! We'll be back to visit again.

Came for breakfast with 4 other friends. After reading such good reviews we were all actually extremely disappointed. We had a long wait for food and they forgot one of the orders. I ordered a full breakfast with poached egg. The egg was more hard boiled than poached. Expensive for what we all had. Sorry to say we won't be going for breakfast again.Sorry you had to wait a while for your food but all our food is freshly cooked to order and we had 40 orders in before yours. The waitress who is new took it on herself to take your order even though we donât do table service on a Saturday and this was explained to you and we did apologise but we were very busy. All tables are courtesy checked and if you had brought this to our attention we could have rectified this for you.

Modern and innovative cooking reflecting the tastes of the Mediterranean in sophisticated surroundings.
A delightful restaurant in the building of an old mill.On arrival, the staff were very welcoming into a lively modern decor lounge for a drink and review of the menu. At first glance the prices may seem a little expensive but not extortionate. The main restaurant is beautifully presented with a modern classical theme and the staff are very attentive but not over barring. In the tradition of their Italian heritage, they were very generous and passionate about the flair of the eating experience. Every dish was a visual work of art, at first it was difficult to actually start because the dishes looked so pretty. However, the visual beauty did not compare with the amazing flavours. Everything was perfectly balanced but it was like an explosion of flavour with each and every mouthful from the appetisers right through to dessert. The portions were generous and along with the extremely high quality of the food and service, I feel that they offered exceptional value for money.Hi Mr Watson, Thankyou for your kind words. The review has been passed onto the team and we are thrilled you enjoyed yourself! We hope to welcome you back again soon!

Well-cooked and well-presented food at an honest price and tolerable wines also well priced. The menu was sufficiently varied for most tastes and I had the sole but have to say it was spoiled by being bedded on a vegetable mix from which I extracted a clove. A clove with a delicate fish like sole - I think not. Friendly service and a nice ambience but a little obtrusive for someone like me with high-powered hearing aids.
