I was here with some friends, the place is a bit dark but cozy in a way, I enjoyed the style overall; just don't understand why the TV on music channel a radio would've been better. The burgers were great we had the fried bread version and is something really nice that you have to try; sagria also was a good choice. About the service was ok but first the waiter came to ask for the desserts, we had another round of sangria instead, 2 minutes later another one asked us to leave the table in 10 min, so we had to rush the sangria and forget the deserts after 20 minutes 2 tables were empty and nobody bother us again, all could have been avoided by just speak to each others, unfortunate that ruined the experience.

I spend leisure time in Sarzana during my vacation in the Montemarcello country area. Gemmi is a splendid pasticceria and an aperitivo spot you will not forget. This is because of the atmosphere you participate. Very Italian very European. we asked for aperitivo Negroni Sbagliato and it was perfect, in perfect glasses, with perfect little appetizers and nuts and patatne.

An italian Bistrot with tables also outside in a magnificent little place
I had high expectations for this restaurant based on the Trip Advisor feed back but was so disappointed. I ordered meat made with local herbs and it turned out absolutely inedible. The meat was raw with only a few seconds on the grill which is usually not a problem for me. However - this piece of meat had so many tendons and ligaments that I was not able to chew it. I tried to chew and swallow all pieces but ended up spitting them all out. They might of course be better at pasta dishes.

Locals and tourists alike will not be disappointed in the meal or service. Try the local wine: Vino Frizzante di Bosoni. It is very light, refreshing, slightly effervescent and went well with the seafood. Dinner for ten with wine, appetizers, mains, contorni and desserts came to $360! Amazing! We were with family, so we had no trouble with the menu, but the chef speaks English. The waiters try their best too! It gets busy on a Saturday, so you may need reservations.

Photonic as one of the pasta dressing that you can find in the menu. Quality of the food is very high and you can find a lot of particular and special preparation. I suggest one of the bio-dynamic menu (white, black, green or cobalt) that are served following a specific food path: from vegetarian to meat, passing through fish. Very good choice of wines. The restaurant is very small, I strongly suggest a reservation. Very romantic for special occasion: the location is awesome. Personnel is very professional and prepared.

Another very good dinner in my favourite sea-food restaurant in Sarzana historical centre.I strongly suggest the raw fish as starter, going on with a specialties called "Smoked Octopus Carbonara", an amazing experience.Reservation is suggested as well because the places are limited and always booked.Very good for special and romantic dinners.

Lovely owner, spoke English, staff were very stressed and fast which made experience a bit anxious. Having said that the same meal which was fine dining equivalent back in Australia would have cost $80 per head which only cost $20 per head for 3 courses
