Funky cafes and dance clubs dot Bellavista, Forest Park art collections range from pre-Columbian to contemporary, and architecture runs the gamut from the 16th-century San Francisco Church to mirrored office towers. Ruca Bar will close for vacation for Christmas from 24 of December until 2 of January inclusive. We are very sorry for the inconvenience. Ruca Bar is a gourmet tapa's bar located in the heart of the up and coming Barrio Italia, with a distinct atmosphere.
Noting the massive Hendrichs'gin bottle holding the front door open, I knew we were off to a good start. We sat outside for a lovely evening of drinks and tapas. Their signature "burger", slow cooked waygu beef on a bun is outstanding. Gin based drinks - martini, and specialty gin/tonic were very good. The Peru pisco sour has become my wife's favorite The grilled octopus with aioli served on a plank was among the best I've had worldwide. Tender crisp, no rubberiness. Service was ok, we really enjoyed the manager, a frenchman who guided us through the Spanish language menu. The creme brûlée was so-so and I would not recommend it.

This was our second time at Baco. We ate here last year just about the same time of the year. This time, we arrived around 9:30 and the place was packed. We were seated right away. We very much enjoyed our meal. My husband selected the confit de canard with a small tomato/lettuce salad. I selected the lentil soup and some foie gras. We ended our meal with a café liégeois and a chocolate mousse with expresso cafe. Everything was delicious, and the food .is reasonably priced. The only expensive item on our bill was the two small Perrier bottles. Definitely recommend this place.

La Cuisine is a French-Belgian owned restaurant located in the Providencia urban area of Santiago. We are a semi-gastronomical restaurant that specializes in author branded french dishes with a mediterranean touch by our young French Chef, Jonathan Maschi
My wife and I had dinner here tonight and the meal was elegant and delicious. We started with a bottle of the Novas wine and a starter of French onion soup. It was very flavorful. For the main dish my wife had the boeuf bourguignon and I had the rabbit in mustard sauce. Both were savory and complex but in different ways. The portion sizes are not large but adequate. Both mains were under 10,000 pesos, very reasonable. For dessert we had the chocolate volanco, which was quite good. The service was attentive, professional and well trained. The restaurant is small and decorated with French posters and a large painting of Montparnasse. This restaurant is not flashy and probably not among Santiago's finest. However, it is definitely in the upper echelon in terms of food quality, service and ambiance.

Great spanish tapas, dangerously sweet sangria, good enough main courses, and some excellent deserts. The house where itâs set in the Barrio Italia area of Providencia has a very charming facade that is not too coherent with the unpolished and bland interiors. Moodier music (spanish!) could help the atmosphere too. Iâm sure it all must feel sexier for dinnertime with low lights. The Terrace looked very promissing for the summer months.

Our Executive Chef, Hernán Basso, together with a team of professionals, surprise us with preparations that follow techniques from France but implemented with local produce from our country. A unique and memorable sensorial experience.
I enjoyed my meal in this restaurant. The staff was very friendly and professional and the food was delicious. The decor was lovely, but I thought the lights were very bright (I personally enjoy a fine dinning experience with dimmed lights). My husband didnât enjoy his meal as much, as his side dish (a rhubarb compote) was bitter. The experience was overall good though, and I will come back to give it another try.Dear mariaortiz,Thank you for providing your review of your experience at our Restaurant! We ate at Le Bistrot last July when we traveled in Chili. We returned today for lunch, and once again, we had a delicious meal. The place was packed when we arrived with a 2:00 reservation. We were promptly seated. My husband ordered the duck confit with a side order of fries and a small salad. I ordered the Bistrot salad. Portions are large and everything tasted so good. We ended our luncheon with a chocolate mousse. If you are in Santiago, you need to go to this restaurant. Prices are reasonable.
