The Red Feather Inn offers an intimate French provincial style dining experience on Friday and Saturday evenings by reservation only, for function or larger groups any night of the week, please call or email for details. The menu features only the freshes
Highly recommended so we booked for three nights. Hadspan is a ten minute drive from Launceston is windy but handy for base to tour the Tamar wineries and historic homes. Charming stone building c 1844 renovated in a twee French Provincial manner. We had problems finding anyone to check in at 2.30 pm. Breakfast was continental, consisting of rhubarb yoghurt one croissant and one slice of bread with hard boiled eggs, ham and cheese. One slice allocated Mean spirit applied to only servicing rooms every two days. This allowed plenty of ants to forage both in kitchen and bathroom. Not up to standard with charges of $350 per night.Thank you for your review. Unfortunately we can't control windy weather, wish we could. The reason for difficulty in check in at 2.30pm was because our check in time is between 4 & 5pm daily which was stated on your confirmation at time of booking. Our rooms are serviced daily unless guests occupying the room or have declined the offer on the day. Occasionally we do have a problem with ants, and short of using chemicals, they are a part of country living! Regards,

I first reviewed this restaurant back in Nov 2016, & if anything, it is even better. The view overlooking our city park together with the excellent selections from the menu leave most overseas comparison lacking. Saltambuca Chicken, Prawns, Eye Fillet Steak & to die for deserts. Just go & enjoy!

Pierre's has been operating for more than 60 Years and is a true Launceston Icon. With many Awards and recognitions to its name, it is the perfect place for Breakfast lunch or Dinner. Bookings Highly Recommended !
Deliciously made, melt in your mouth food, in warm cosy surroundings. Service could have been a little prompter with the serving of the meals - but the food was worth waiting for. We appreciated the consideration given to the children - they were offered the opportunity to choose from the lunch menu (as well as the dinner menu) - the lunch options suited their tastebuds better.

Larceny restaurant has an emphasis on local ingredients & seasonality, with a simple & uncomplicated approach to cooking.
I was taken here as a guest by dear friends who have eaten here previously, the atmosphere was great and something I really appreciate was the lengths the owners have gone to, to make the place absorb noise. There are padded booths, carpet on the floor and upholstered chairs at the tables, all designed to absorb the noise that busy restaurants seem to crest. The friendly greeting was nice, we were seated promptly, and our drinks organised quickly, our food arrived as ordered and well prepared and the steaks cooked as requested. No complaints at all, mains were in the $35-$45 range a bit pricey but nice.If you are looking for a nice intimate dinner or lunch try the Larceny it wonât disappoint.

A really interesting menu. A return visit with positive recollections. This time we made a couple of unfortunate choices - Sardines entree came with bland accompaniments. Duck leg excellent but cabbage overpowered. Terrific pate/parfait. Terrific pork belly/crackling pancakes. Excellent wine. Unusual service style.
