Nuala's Bar & Restaurant is a comfortable place to have a drink, eat some great home cooked dishes and relax. Their menu boasts fresh and local produce and has a great range of dishes to suit all tastes. It has a charming interior and a very historic atmo
Doing some family tree research in the area and stopped here for lunch. Fast and efficient, extensive specials list, friendly service, good sized portions, good basic items (toasted ham, tomato and onion sandwich) available as well as more robust, such as their seafood chowder. Creamy and with a fair bit of seafood, served with a side of bread. Trifle dessert was a fruit compote, custard and whipped cream. A large pub with parking in the rear.

I have eaten hear a lot and always left having a delicious meal l but never written a review. I was there on the 14th August. I was with a group of 5 Friends . Fabulous atmosphere and staff friendly as always. We all had 5 different mains no starters. We had fresh cod, a bacon cheese burger, steak sandwich and scampi and chips. We all had a wonderful meal everything was delicious and cooked 2 perfection all washed down with a beautiful bottle of red wine. It was busy and the staff couldnât have been nicer. Looking forward 2 our next visit. Well priced for the quality of food.
Called in here on Monday evening forgetting that it might be a bit busier than usual given it was a bank holiday weekend. And indeed ir was - several groups ahead of us inside the door awaiting tables. But no problem - when the staff ascertained we had no booking - despite it being busy and all tables occupied for the foreseeable - we were asked if we'd be ok in The Barn. We were given a table as were another family in this quiet area. It was perfect. Staff lit tea lights in the windows and set up the tables and in no way made us feel like we were an inconvenience to them. Service was prompt and food was delicious. Couldn't fault it at all. We've often eaten here but never when it was so busy. Seems the service and friendly staff are the same whether it's quiet or busy. Well done all!

First the pluses. The food was decent - my guests particularly enjoyed the seafood chowder starter, and the serving sizes for the main course were generous, with two thick-sized slices of beef for the lunch (albeit a bit overdone but still generous). The customer service was a total let-down. We asked for a high chair for our young one but we were told that we couldn't have one because we didn't book one, and all the high chairs were reserved. But sure enough 2 of the chairs sat - empty and unused - on the empty reserved table right next to us for the whole 1 1/2 HOURS we were there. When I brought this up with staff, the in-charge doubled down and told us that they were reserved and still reserved even as we left. Now if this was a genuine no-show they could have simply explained and apologised. But if the chairs were still reserved 1 1/2 hours later then it just looks to me like poor table management.Worse still, I left the restaurant feeling as if the whole situation was my fault because I didn't book the high chair (maybe I should have booked knives, forks and napkins when I booked the table a few days prior...) and that I was an inconvenience to the staff. No empathy at all, and I was feeling worse leaving than when I came in - all in front of the family over for a weekend visit. No, I won't be inconveniencing Flanagans again.

This restaurant was recommended to us by the host of the B&B where we stayed close by. It certainly lived up to the recommendation. Great menu and our food was excellent. Staff were friendly and professional. It was lovely to sit outside on a nice Summer evening. I look forward to visiting it again.

Crossed the fresh hold for a coffee before heading back Youghal and relaxed little Aladdin's reading room. This is like stepping into someone's comfortable little lounge with its haphazard array of chairs, benches, overloaded book cases and different sized tables. The Coffee aroma was perfect and went well with the surroundings. Couldn't resist the pizza. The pizza was very good and appreciate the plate of rocket on the side. The service was swift and staff polite. If you pass over the single lane bridge at Killaloe, br sure to allow time to pop into Ponte Vecchio.
