We went here for a Birthday dinner and the 4 of us ate the 2/3 course a la carte menu. The tuna was superb, my wife described the scallop dish as one of the best starters she has ever had (she's had thousands). The beef was excellent, but the duck was so tender and melt-in-the-mouth. Superb.Thank you for taking the time to review your visit to Restaurant 56. We're glad the meal was enjoyed by all and hope to welcome you back soon!

Our sociable bistro is the perfect place to refuel after a full day. With local attractions such as Wychwood Brewery, home to the legendary Hobgoblin beer, and Cogges Manor Farm as well as the shopping centre nearby youâre bound to have worked up an appet
I have eaten in Cafe Rouge in Witney and other places before so thought I knew what to expect. The decor is good, the staff were lovely, the service good and of course the prices are very reasonable. However, although my starter and dessert were fine, the mussels were not. They had not been cleaned well with beards in many and there were so many broken shells that I was not sure whether the mussels inside them were good or bad so had to leave them. They were overcooked and dry and the juice was inedible because of all the bits of shell. As two of us had the same experience this did not seem to be a one off unfortunately. However, I will go again but just not have the mussels!

A warm welcome from The Horse and Radish. We are a beautiful country pub and restaurant nestled in the picturesque Windrush valley, on the edge of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. Our dedicated team take pride in serving award winning food and drink. This coupl
Had lunch at the Horse and Radish on spec. The food was better than standard pub-fare but still recognisably in that bracket. Smoked Haddock Chowder was very tasty. Moules with frites had good sized mussels, also had lots of cream in the broth. Desserts were tasty and well judged. They seem to emphasise local ingredients. The fixed price menus (just depending on number of courses) are a sensible way to price the meals. The service was intelligently adult. All in all this was somewhere we would eat again. It's quite close to the main road (the A40) so very accessible when travelling to/from Oxford.

Our 2 AA rosette cotswolds restaurant is located on a quaint side street in the heart of Burford, famed for its sheep fairs of times gone by when our historic hotel, was once a collection of weavers cottages. This history teamed with our outstanding food
After spending an hour visiting every cafe/pub on Burford high street looking for somewhere that had vegan options, we came across the Lamb Inn. The menu clearly labels all vegan/vegetarian meals. There was more than one option. Inside the building is amazing. We sat in the bar and were served by fabulous waiter who was polite and helpful. We ordered the Buddha platter to share and I can honestly say it was one of the best Buddha platters I have ever had. Great combinations of hummus and pickled vegetables and tasty falafels. We loved the relaxed atmosphere of the bar. The facilities were also really good. Fabulous Molton Brown soaps and creams. We have looked at booking a room for future visits. Well done The Lamb Inn. I just wish more places would follow your lead

We dined on 2 consecutive nights, and on each occasion were treated to super flavour combinations - subtle, exotic, warm, deep in equal measure. The menus is extensive and the set meal combinations served us well on both nights; had we been able to visit again, we aould have ventured further into the a la carte, which offerred further tantalising treats. Our host was charming, helpful and friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. It was a real pleasure to dine here, and we really hope to return soon. I would highly recommend a visit and suggest a booking to avoid disappointment.

Traditional village pub serving well kept ales, excellent locally sourced food in an informal yet professional environment
Lacked atmosphere and staff very indifferent. Food was OK if a little expensive and arrived quickly but no one checked we had everything and were happy with our meals, not asked if we wanted more drinks or desserts and had to go looking for someone to pay. Had better staff service at a wacky warehouse! Deapite website and reviews saying was dog friendly too, felt our nervy but well behaved dog was a nuisance. Won't be going back
