Yorkshire (/ˈjɔːrkʃər, -ʃɪər/; abbreviated Yorks), formally known as the County of York, is a historic county of Northern England and the largest in the United Kingdom. Due to its great size in comparison to other English counties, functions have been undertaken over time by its subdivisions, which have also been subject to periodic reform. Throughout these changes, Yorkshire has continued to be recognised as a geographical territory and cultural region. The name is familiar and well understood across the United Kingdom and is in common use in the media and the military, and also features in the titles of current areas of civil administration such as North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and East Riding of Yorkshire.

Home of Slingsby Gin, you are welcome to sample and purchase our products. Our knowledgeable, friendly team will be happy to assist and answer any questions you may have. We also have a few gins, not yet launched, ready for you to taste. We also run gin experiences including our Spirit of Gin session where you will discover the fascinating history of gin, right back through the original styles of gin, to how gin has developed today. Includes 4 Gin and Tonics, plus samples. Our newly launched Master Distiller experience includes sampling different flavour profiles and choosing your favourite. We then provide you with a base receipe, which you may adapt, to create your very own bespoke bottle of gin to take home. The session finishes with G&Ts and information on how to create your perfect serve. Open sessions run Thursday - Sunday and private bookings available. We look forward to welcoming you to the Spirit of Harrogate soon.
We did the master distiller experience, such a great day learning about your own gin palette to then go on and make your own! Was able to try slingsby gin throughout the experience, the Christmas gin was delicious. Would recommend this to all gin lovers

An unexpectedly excellent visit during a day out in Filey. Welcoming café followed by the most informative and highly interesting distillery tour. The whisky sampling topped off a fantastic experience. Should be on the itinerary of anyone visiting the area. A true gem.

The York Gin shop is in one of York’s most iconic buildings - the 16th century Sir Thomas Herbert’s House at 12 Pavement. The shop - selling all six York Gins and beautiful gifts - is opposite M&S and Shambles. Winner of Visit York Tourism Awards Shop of the Year 2020. Free tastings and a very knowledgeable, friendly team. Open seven days a week. Child and dog friendly. Full Covid safety measures in place.
We popped in here while lunching in York with friends who live nearby......there was plenty of gin tasting offered, 4 different gins, and the girls doing the tasting and selling were just delightful and great fun. A lovely way to spend half an hour.......recommend a visit.

Join us for Sheffield’s only hands-on gin making experience using mini stills and real botanicals. Here at Locksley Distilling we are super excited that we can now open our distillery up to the world and welcome you inside to witness, taste and immerse yourself in all of our magic! Visit us in the heart of Sheffield at the breath-taking Portland Works, a 140 year old grade 2*listed cutlery factory where stainless steel was born, and discover how our small yet dedicated team have been creating, producing and inspiring since the start of 2015. We know we're never going to be the biggest distillery but we'll always aspire to be the best and we love nothing more than sharing our passion with our fellow artisan drinks enthusiasts!
Had a great afternoon learning all about my favourite gin with Joe. He explained the history, processes and gave us a great tour of the distillery all whilst letting us taste all the gin. Then we got to go to gin school and make our own gin. It was a really fun experience and great to see how quickly you can distill and try the gin to see if you've got a nice flavour - plus the gin I made is great! We left with bottles of gin to give away as gifts but ended up keeping for ourselves in the end as they were too nice. As an added bonus, we got engaged just before the tour so now will always associate Sir Robin gin with happy memories and will definitely have to get some for the wedding!
