Took my daughter and her roommate her from breakfast on Sunday. Got there a little after 11 AM and had no problem getting a table.Pros: good food, reasonable prices, food came quicklyCons: service was really lacking. Pleasant server took our order, someone else delivered our food. No one ever checked back on us. Items were charged and not delivered. No refills on drinks. Acoustics are terrible and it's hard to carry on a conversation. Bill was totaled incorrectly and was a hassle to get the non-delivered food off and things added up properlyNote: did not like the onions in the omelet. not like any I'd ever had before. I'd recommend skipping them. The girls like the place and have been before but I'd probably not return simply because there are comparable places where I can get better service.

Food was plentiful, service was really slow, food was on a par with any older breakfast greasy spoon . The two a/c units inadequate for this place, and should be turned on earlier in the day. Do Not Order separate items. Order a combo type meal even if u don't want it all or you'll pay thru the nose. Otherwise prices are really reasonable.

Since 1975, the Iron Skillet Restaurant has been cooking up fresh food served by friendly folks. From our hand-cut steaks to hand peeled, fresh mashed potatoes, to the Best Buffet on the highway, you'll see why professional drivers vote Iron Skillet their
There is no front greeting desk, a visitor can chose a booth or tables with separate booths just truck drivers.Arianna was my server. Needed only a few seconds to decide on the Golden Fried Shrimp. which consist of 10 large shrimp, fries & one warm buttered slice of bread. One cup of cocktail sauce was served, however two are needed. Drink was a large sweet ice tea. For a take home chose a round Double Chocolate Cookie. Cookie is 5 1/2 " in diameter & 1/2" thick. Cookie is a meal in itself. The shrimp was just right. From ordering to serving was about 10 minutes. The complete meal-shrimp & cookie-are both recommended. Each meal is served on an 8-9 inch skillet, not sure what the material is, however Arianna informed me that the skillet can be used in a microwave. There is very large self serve buffet that visitor can fill a skillet. The restaurant is part of a 24 hour Peta truck stop. Across the hallway is a large County Store. In the hallway is a Seneca County information center with a woman attendant & all types of brochures & map of Seneca County.Further down the hall are the facility's restrooms-very clean. Across the hall are showers & a laundry facility.Parking is unlimited. Peta is located just off I-90 (New York Thruway) at Exit 41. If coming off I-90 drive straight across Rt. 414 into the facility, with Iron Skillet on the right.

An average diner with table and counter service. The biscuits and gravy were good. The eggs and bacon were average. Busy place; friendly service. A bit disappointed in the menu choices... nothing special offered.

We were passing through the area on a trip and thanks to Tripadvisor reviews we decided to try this place. It is just a short distance from the NYS Thruway. It was worth it getting off the Thruway for the meal. The place was easily accessible by wheelchair. The staff were very friendly. It was readily apparent that there is a regular day to day group of customers who come here often. Everyone, including the customers coming in are very friendly making you fell right at home. Nice! The service was accurate, fast and efficient. The food was very good with ample portions. The prices are reasonable. Would definitely stop here again.

Great eating place, much nicer inside than the outside would suggest. Great nostalgic fifties décor. Breakfast items a little limited considering this is a diner but lunch and dinner items are plentiful. Service was great, would definitely eat here again when back in the area.
