After seating ourselves, we waited at least 15 minutes for the waitress/server to finish catching up with friends seated nearby before we were asked for our order. We were just poised to leave when she came over. No apologies. The breakfast itself was fine, nothing special but service ... unsurprisingly - slow. Disappointed as years ago when I was last here, it was so much better.

Cozy, family owned diner in Stratford where you can get a home cooked meal with great staff and experience .
we visited on a very busy day and had to wait a bit, staff was friendly and food was what you'd expect at a breakfast joint, good but nothing to rave about. prices are very reasonable and resteraunt was clean and presentable. our orders were pretty messed up but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt considering the volume they had that morning .

A place to eat breakfast...and lunch too!
Had brunch today and it was seriously delicious. We both had the Eggs Benedict which was the daily special - one with brisket, the other with smoked salmon. Both the salmon and brisket are smoked in house and are very tasty! We also had a side of the house smoked bacon.... yummy!Very friendly and efficient staff. Popped in and gave our cell number and were texted when our table was ready. Browsed the Sunday Slow Market while we waited.A perfect Sunday. Highly recommend. Can't wait to try sister restaurant The Red Rabbit which is just across the street.

Date of Visit: Saturday, July 27th, 2019 Preparing for a day trip through Perth County, we came across Madelynâs diner as a place Roguetrippers could go for butter tarts for our Butter tart quest. We decided to stick around and enjoy a little lunch while we were there as well. This is a very retro themed diner in its décor. There is ample seating for many groups. The service is great. The waitresses are very friendly, and attentive. The food is good. Prepared fresh and served promptly. The prices are good, as well. There is ample on-site parking. They really promote their butter tarts â they have dozens on display in a variety of flavours â plain, raisin, pecan, maple bacon, and seasonal flavours as well. The Maple Bacon sells the fastest. They are a delicious butter tart. You will want to get some to take home for your own #buttertartquest.Thank you for your review!! :) We don't stock plain tarts - they are only special order. Our staples are pecan, raisin, coconut and bacon. Seasonally right now is pumpkin!! We appreciate your in-depth review!! Until we meet again!

We were very disappointed in our dining experience. The staff seemed awkward and confused at all times. They knew we were pretheatre but left us alone for ages at a time and then ordered only one main for a table of 2! The person who got their food was done by the time the forgotten meal arrived. We had to pay for a cab to make the theatre! And they still charged us for everything! Food was oily and over salt and peppered. But the meat was cooked well. Never again!

My wife and I came here for breakfast on a Tuesday morning. I had the three egg breakfast special (7.29 CAD) while my wife had the 2 egg special (6.29 CAD). The home fries were nicely seasoned and crispy, the bacon was crispy, the baked beans were delicious, and the eggs were good. The service was prompt and courteous. A good spot for breakfast.
