Great eating place, much nicer inside than the outside would suggest. Great nostalgic fifties décor. Breakfast items a little limited considering this is a diner but lunch and dinner items are plentiful. Service was great, would definitely eat here again when back in the area.
Living local? Here is a farm family oriented diner. Huge helpings ... Fairly priced and with "local flavor"It gets busy, you may have to wait a bit. Our breakfast was good. The hash brown potatoes were boiled then fried if you like that.

Took my daughter and her roommate her from breakfast on Sunday. Got there a little after 11 AM and had no problem getting a table.Pros: good food, reasonable prices, food came quicklyCons: service was really lacking. Pleasant server took our order, someone else delivered our food. No one ever checked back on us. Items were charged and not delivered. No refills on drinks. Acoustics are terrible and it's hard to carry on a conversation. Bill was totaled incorrectly and was a hassle to get the non-delivered food off and things added up properlyNote: did not like the onions in the omelet. not like any I'd ever had before. I'd recommend skipping them. The girls like the place and have been before but I'd probably not return simply because there are comparable places where I can get better service.

Open seating, lots of windows. Large menu. My sandwich was good and fairly priced. Seems to be a locals place to go. Large selection of desserts. Good place for lunch!

Stopped in for dinner while returning home. I have stopped here before, but last time was over two years ago as I don't have business in Newark anymore. I hag goulash, which had a nice marinara type sauce rather than a normal smooth tomato sauce. It was a vegetable goulash and the sauce had peppers and onions and carrots (chunky cut). A nice spicy taste, not overpowering, yet delicious. I was torn between the goulash and the London broil, which I used to have regularly. A neighboring table got that entree and it looked just like I used to get and the man told his wife that it was very good. My waitress was Lizzy. She was great and made suggestions for sides. I had a cup of the beef vegetable soup which was definitely homemade and delicious. My wife got the hot turkey sandwich with french fries and cole slaw. The portions were large, but not overwhelming and the cost was reasonable. In fact, the London broil was at least two or three dollars less than in other restaurants and the quantity was the same as competitors.

An average diner with table and counter service. The biscuits and gravy were good. The eggs and bacon were average. Busy place; friendly service. A bit disappointed in the menu choices... nothing special offered.

When this place opened we went frequently. Good food, good prices. Slowly it has turned 180 degrees over the years. Low quality food, big upcharges for simple sides alternatives. and carry out is always wrong or missing items which means "dealing with it" or driving back for correction.

Clean. Good food. Great service. Waitress all remember what we usually order and we only get that way 3 or 4 times a year! Amazing.
