went to this place 2 weeks before this and it was like it was a totally different place...i am guessing the cook either chsnged or was off...was so hapoy with the first visit i reccommended it to a group,of friends. we went last week and as good as it was the first time...it wss thst poor this time..nothing was good and it took a long time to get it...sorry but with this inconsistency we will not be back

The chicken salad with nice chicken chunks, is excellent, as is their BLT. My friend heats the sirloin and eggs which he says is really good. The grits are the best...buttery and deliciously. Warning: the sandwich sizes are small. Donât expect to get anything oversized. Dora, server, is a doll! Itâs a home-town, family kind of place.

Now named DENTON FAMILY DINER but not really a diner as about all they serve is limited breakfast foods and sandwiches. Prices are almost reasonable BUT you have to order fries with any menu sandwich. Portions are good especially the hashbrowns. They are no longer in patties just order onions if you want them.My coffee was almost mud it was so strong, my eggs were scrambled light and fluffy, my bacon was cooked nicely and we had a strange biscuit. Owner did make fresh coffee for me and it was much more to my liking.Not a place we will frequent often but will try again at some point. OH, YEAH, ask what all is going to be on their new menu as the current one is being revisrd.

And the bestest potato pancake in the world, at least the best I have ever eaten. Portions are large, grits cteamy and lusious, eggs cooked exactly as ordered. Bacon not burnt or hard, and coffee never had a chance to get tepid--service was spot on. Highly recommend you stop in.

Enormous pork fritter sandwich is delicious! My husband asked for it without the bun and sausage gravy on top, even better! The atmosphere is bland, but food so far has been good.

Dropped in for a quick lunch, should have kept driving. Was seated and greeted quickly but the good ends there. Wanted some liver and onions and was told it was delicious and that nobody has said differently. Unfortunately, I definitely am saying differently. The liver was tough, grainy, underseasoned, and cold; the mashed potatoes were cold, tasteless and tasted like poorly prepared instant potatoes. The gravy was cold too thick and inedible but the soup was hot and satisfying.

This is a clean small restaurant. Family diner feel with friendly staff. Waitress checked on us and kept drinks filled, but never bugged us. Country friend steak and eggs benedict were order and very good. Good size on both with onion hashbrowns that were also tasty. Foods was hot and all the order correct. Portions are good and priced well for quality breakfast. Would eat again for sure.
