Did this trip in February. To sum it up it consists of 11 hours in a minivan to visit three churches in Chiloe, none of them is interesting unless you are an academic interested in the technical details of wooden church building in the mid 19th century. However good the guides are (and our guide was excellent) this piece of Chile is not worth visiting. The drive to Castro in Chiloe island comprises a 70km motorway run to a ferry and then more than two hours driving along a scruffy, semi industrialised road with no redeeming features to Castro. On arrival the only logical question is "why bother". There are so many beautiful places in Chile I would suggest that people give this excursion a swerve and prevent the total waste of a day of their lives.

We took this tour last year. The guide doesn’t speak English at all, and keep repeating the same information over and over. They also don’t let you move and ask you to be next to them all the time. Amazing place but awful guide

I arranged our private tour with Mauricio via email. He was very professional and helpful in our decision to do a private tour of Valparaiso / Vina del Mar and return to San Antonio for our back to back cruise. Because of COVID-19, our 2nd cruise was cancelled and our tour guide Francisco was very agreeable to taking us to Santiago airport after our Valparaiso and Vina del Mar tour. Our tour guide, Francisco was very professional, knowledgeable and pleasant - he made our tour very enjoyable and spoke excellent English. We enjoyed the seafood empanadas, recommended by Mauricio. Thank you Mauricio and Francisco for a fun last day in Chile.

Although trip started one hour later that schedule (no fault of the guide, I reckon), she was very knowledgeable and friendly. The information on the food items in the two markets we visited (fish and fruit), the very tasty lunch in a very homey environment/ the vistas of the city - all were provided in a very lovely spirit. I definitely enjoyed the few hours I spent with your guide.

6. Authentic City Tour Valparaíso + Viña del Mar – Full Day
Our guide will pick you up with our vehicle, from where we will immediately drive to Valparaíso (if you are not already staying in Valparaíso), and there, we will discover together this historic and beautiful city, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003. The tour begins at a famous square. From there, you will walk; use the “Trole” buses, gondolas and public transportation to travel the hills of the city, including the route of the immigrants who had a significant cultural and architectural influence in this unique port town. We can take you to a local restaurant, please coordinate with your guide, and thereafter you will visit some of Valparaiso’s signature murals, viewpoints and local stores located in the famous Cordillera, Alegre and Concepcion Hills. Me and my friend booked this trip trough their website. Quick respons, and got picked up at our Hotel the next morning. Driving tru Santiago city and out to Cayon del Maipo for some rafting in the Maipo River. On the road Ignazio was telling us history about Santiago and showing us old photos, and the areas we were passing on our way. The rafting at Ruta Vertical Rafting was fun and exciting. With professional guides on the boats. After the rafting we had lunch with local food, and continued further up Cayon del Maipo to a waterfall and a nice scenery over the valley. On our way back to Santiago, we hiked up a hill to get the view over the city, and to see the sunset. Perfect ending on our day! After the sunset we got dropped off at our Hotel. He also set us up on a day trip going to Valparaiso. Where a guide met us at the bus station, and show us around this historical city, worth visiting. I recommend City Trekking Guide for personalized tours, with local guides, with a lot knowledge :)

We had a pleasure of Waldo being our tour guide driving and showing us around Valparaiso. We had 2 children that are still young, so flexibility of the schedule is a must and Waldo is very flexible and intuitive of our needs. He even prepared desserts, drinks, fruits, you name it, he brought them with him so we have a pleasant day through out the day, as most of the restaurants is still closed during Phase 2. He even brought our bags along and carried them securely,to prevent robbery. Thank you Waldo for being very patient with us and waited until we had great photo for our Instagrams. We really recommend him!

Paulina was a terrific guide. She was a lot of fun, and made the trip interesting and relaxing. The bus was small, just a large van, comfortable, and easy to get in and out.
