Since the new owner took over the business about six months ago. I have ordered takeout and delivery many times and the food was excellent every time. The food here is as good as if not better than most of the sit down chinese in this area. Service is quick and staff is very friendly. The food is always delivered hot and on time.

You have to love all the people raving about how "authentic" it is--very few of whom have a clue where Shaanxi is, much less what people eat there. I've been in Shaanxi, but far too briefly to be able to comment whether this place is authentic or not. What I can tell you for certain is that the style and flavor is remarkably different from other Chinese places in the area, from the excellent Sichuan Gourmet and dim sum places all the way down. Local Chinese come here to eat noodles, dumplings, and especially the "burgers," which are sandwiched on a central-China steam-roasted flat bun. The noodles are hand-pulled, so they say, and I do think they've got that bouncy quality. The food is good, the flavors remarkable and unusual (much more sour, for one thing, as in Hunan), and the prices excellent. My only objection is that sometimes they clearly alter their food for roundeyes like me. This is not a guess, by the way: unbeknownst to the management, I speak decent Mandarin, and I was therefore able to get a definite visual comparison between the "hot and spicy hand-pulled noodles" I was eating and those being eaten by a Chinese customer nearby. Surprise surprise, hers were a quite different color, and mine were somewhat bland and sweet.I don't know what you do about this problem, honestly. I guess you could say, "Please, can I have the dishes the way you would eat them yourself, not dumbed-down for stupid white people?" But I don't know if it'd work.IF YOU ARE ON THE MANAGEMENT, please take note. Serve the same food to everyone. You don't know who's eating at your place. I'm not the only non-Chinese who speaks Mandarin, after all. What you should do is ASK: "that's traditionally very spicy, is that okay, or would you like it a little toned down?"I hope they get the message and stop hiding, because done honestly, this place deserves to be known widely.

This take out place is located in the saxonville area of framingham, near Robinson Ace Hardware. The fried rice is always fresh and the low mein noodles are always packed with fresh vegetables . I always pick up but they have a delivery person.Every time I go there the owners are real nice and polite. The driver sometimes is there waiting to take his delivery and he is always helpful too. Everyone there is so polite. The prices are very reasonable and they are always busy. Used to drive all the way on route 9 to get decent Chinese food but I am so glad I found this place by chance.Happen to see it one day while driving to the liquor store next door.

We have been going here or getting takeout for years, but lately the quality of their dishes has gone downhill. Lo mein was overcooked and soggy. Other beef and chicken dishes lacked flavor. The most recent time we got takeout, a large order on a Saturday night was ready in 10 minutes, making me think most of it was prepared well ahead of the order.

We had dinner at China Rose in Wayland and can only describe their cooking as ordinary. The various dishes we tried lacked the distinctive Chinese flavors we expected. When they were seasoned, it was overdone. For example the sesame chicken was overly sweet, masking the taste of the meat. There are other Chinese restaurants in the Metro West area that have better food which we will be returning to.

Such great Chinese food! I always get the soup... we order the egg drop and add won tons... like the egg drop broth better than the peppery won ton broth. Shrimp with black bean sauce, house special fried rice. Service is fast and friendly. Who needs a view when the food is this good!

20+ years ago this was our favorite Chinese restaurant. We went tonight, the parking lot was full with many higher end cars. We were excited. The greeter strongly suggested a table in the dining room although we wanted to sit in the more lively lounge. To make a long story shortâ painfully slow and inattentive service, bland bland bland food, even the duck sauce had NO flavor and we had to request it. No salt and pepper or soy sauce?? Will not ever go back and do not recommend.

Usually love this place. Was sitting there today waiting for my wonton soup. The server is behind the counter, blows her nose, puts the tissue in her pocket and brings me the bowl of soup WITH HER THUMB IN THE BOWL...but at least not in the soup. Kind of reminds of an old soup joke from the Catskills that goes without saying.
