This restaurant serves good noodles and dimsum dishes. Service is also fast and friendly. We enjoyed the A1 beef noodles and perfect when paired with the dimsum. Will try to come back to taste the other types of noodles on the menu.
Some cuisines achieve more of their potential when combined with the cooking styles, ingredients and nuances of other cuisines.Take, Bistro Charlemagne: A Concept By Little Asia for example. Named after its owner, Charlemagne Lim, this high-end restaurant offers Asian and European fusion dishes. With its first branch well established in Nuvali in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, its second branch is situated in fifth level of Ayala Malls Feliz in Dela Paz, Pasig City, giving the denizens East of Manila a new and exciting dining option.Walking through the lush greenery of Ayala Malls Felizâ gardens (which gives you a breathtaking view of the nearby mountains of Antipolo) will lead you into the opulent interiors of Bistro Charlemagne. Mood lighting, plush velvet-upholstered chairs and large dark wood tables give diners a feeling of luxury and coziness. This place is great for romantic night-time dates and Sunday brunches with the family.Together with other east-based foodies, I was invited to a foodie meet up held here where I sampled some of the restoâs delectable dishes:Japanese Mixed Seafood Salad (Php315). Tuna, shrimp and kani tossed in spicy mayo and finished with ebiko (shrimp roe), tempura flakes and sweet soy. An exciting start to the meal with a bit of heat from the spicy mayo and contrasts in texture from the tempura flakes.Vietnamese Spring Rolls (Php295). Unlike other spring rolls, this one is fried to a golden and crunchy crisp after being stuffed with glass noodles, pork and mushrooms, then served with the traditional Nuoc Cham dipping sauce.Bistro Sisig Fries (Php295). Chopped and thrice-cooked pork cheeks sauteed in a creamy chicken liver sauce and served on top of crispy and golden French fries.Little Asiaâs Crispy Chicken (Php325). Have you ever noticed how some families have special recipes that get passed down through generations? This is one of them: a specially crispy chicken served with a freshly made gravy developed Charlemagneâs grandfather, enjoyed and shared to the world by three generations of restaurateurs.Beef Tenderloin Rolls with Cheese (Php395). Donât I always say that everythingâs better with cheese? These rollwd beef tenderloin slices sauteed in teriyaki sauce certainly are.Shrimp Poppers (Php415). Plump and lightly battered shrimp deep-fried and tossed in the houseâ special sweet chili mayo sauce and chili oil and served with a side salad.Ox Sisig (Php325). Thrice-cooked ox tongue and ox tripe mixed witj the houseâ special liver-mansi mayo and topped with chicharon bulaklak. A fresh take on the classic sisig dish!Sâmores (Php245) and Reeseâs Sâmores (Php245). We dipped graham crackers on roasted marshmallows laid on top of Ghirardelli chocolate ganache with the former and on top of peanut butter chips ganache with the latter.Blueberry Custard Napoleones (Php245). Crisp puff pastry sandwiching vanilla custard and blueberry puree sauce, sprinkled with pistachio dust.Pandan Crepe (Php245). Soft pandan-flavored crepe encasing shredded coconut stewed in coconut milk and coated in palm sugar. This is a surprisingly tasty dessert with a amazingly fresh twist on familiar flavors. With these dishes and more on the menu, Bistro Charlemagne is where East meets West, and they do make a great combination. And here's some good news for people on a budget: you can sate your craving for your favorite Bistro Charlemagne dish with a set meal at only Php215! This already comes with rice, soup and iced tea.Plus, birthday celebrants get the house special Little Asia's Crispy Chicken free when they dine at Bistro Charlemagne with a minimum single-receipt transaction of Php1,995 within seven days of their birthday. Very large restaurant which means it can lack a bit of atmosphere. But it is a nice looking place. The dim sum is delicious! Great asado and shao long Pao.

When we eat here weâre sure to have a great dining experience. Had ab early dinner here and ordered their noodle soups, asado, dimsum, lumpiang shanghai, congee among others. If we want Chinese food in Pasig area, this is the place. Parking sometimes can be an issue. But their service is good and very attentive waiters.

I have already eaten in 3 branches of Shilin and all I can say is that the service here is so bad and the food quality is not what you expect for the value of money you pay forI ordered Congee , Shao long bao and PorkchopTHe order arrived after 15 minutes. But the porkchop order was wrong. They gave me the chicken chops so i told the waiter that they got it wrong. I got the order after another 15 minutes. i had to follow up numerous times.THe waiter were actually ignoring me. The food wasnt that good tooWill never go back here again

The place is perfect for family gatherings and special events like baptismal celebrations and birthdays. Upon entering, there is a spacious dining area with wide hallways, and function rooms that can house a large number of guests. In true family style fashion, there are kids afoot, and multiple generations dining on the same table. The wait staff are fairly attentive and courteous, ambiance upscale Old Manila. Now to the food!Great options: The BUCHI. Wow. Start and end your meal with these delicious, freshly cooked light and fluffy balls of dough covered with crispy sesame seeds and filled with an almost creamy bean paste filling. Truly unlike any other buchi I've tasted. Even my children enjoyed it, calling it the best buchi they've had in their life! Also the pancit - simple, homemade style, but with a mildly flavoured almost gelatinous sauce that was reminiscent of bird's nest soup. The vegetables were super crisp! The fried rice had perfect loose grains and a perfect ratio of vegetables that complemented every other dish on the table - plus it was not greasy at all!Sweet and sour fish looked heavily breaded, but wasn't. It was a seamless bite from coating to the fish meat inside, which held its own to the sauce and uber crunchy veggies. Chinese style fried chicken were moist and tender pieces of chicken cooked with Chinese spices. Great with rice and the accompanying dipping sauce. Just okay: The Chinese Asado, usually the piece de resistance in these types of dining establishments, was flavorful but lacked juiciness. The crab and corn soup was simple but hearty, and a tad too mild flavored for my taste. The lumpia was super crispy but in terms of flavor was just ok. Not bad, but nothing special, either. Great with the dipping sauce, though. The beef and vegetables were tasty and veggies cooked perfect. All in all, a Sunday family dinner type of place I wouldn't mind returning to, if only for those heavenly pieces of buchi.

The food was very salty and not cooked well. The noodles were not hongkong style but more of china style. Dim sum was tasteless and service was bad.
