Our favorite place to stop for a meal on our way to Montreal. The food is good, with plenty of vegetarian options. RESERVATIONS NECESSARY!! (You won't get in without one - they're always fulling booked.)Next time we'll try their very reasonably priced tasting menu. Mostly large family-style tables but they also have tables for 2-3 people.

To its credit, this (mostly takeout) restaurant has occupied the same strip mall location for a while, and there was foot traffic at 5pm. However, the interior is SO dirty, you can only hope that your immune system is hearty enough to stomach it. Look at the handle bar on the door as you exit, and you'll see that it is caked with dirt (shiny in other spots), presumably from people's grimy hands. I ordered take-out at 5pm. The girl told me 15 minutes. I came back in 20 minutes, but still waited another 8 minutes for my food. I figured it would be steaming hot, but it wasn't. I watched the cook in the open kitchen working the woks and pouring the food into the takeout containers. Why wasn't it hot (literally 6 minutes home)? We ordered Beef Lo Mein and Garlic Chicken (spicy). The meat was tender, the broccoli barely cooked, and yet it was all room temp at best. Also, the Garlic Chicken was not spicy at all. It's clear that all the food was prepared and refrigerated (thank God for that) ahead of time. The brief saute' was inadequate to heat the food. Oh, and did I mention that they charged an extra $2 for Pork Fried Rice? Just plain wrong. Never again. Look at the picture of the kitchen in this review and judge for yourself.

They have the best chinese food in the entire area. The only problem is the parking, you have to park in a lot that is shared with a bar and the lot is crowded when it is open. I told the restaurant owner to move, i hope he listens

I have always meant to go here and try it out and now that I have I was not disappointed. Whilst it's mainly a takeaway you do have the opportunity to sit down and eat your food there. The food is served in takeaway containers but if you are not looking for anything fancy and are more interested in the price and the food then this is not a bad place to grab some lunch. You can eat part or all of it there and the food tastes pretty good.
The name reminds me of the cook on Bonanza from years ago. The food is good and the place is clean. Price and menue is ok.
Where to eat Italian food in Essex: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Joyce's Noodle House is standard Asian cuisine (fried chicken fingers, wonton soup, moo goo gai pan,) but it is exceptionally fresh. The veggies are always wonderful. They also have bubble teas and a bar (if you want an exotic beverage.) The wait staff are always friendly and very efficient.

We love Chinese buffets and this one didn't disappoint. Plenty of choices and everything was good. Dishes were removed quickly and food on buffet was hot. You won't leave hungry that is for sure. We went on a weekend and lunch was a bit pricey but we felt it was worth the money

We accidentally found Joyce's while renting a house in Essex. My wife, daughter, and I split beef tempura, a chicken dish, vegetarian noodles, rice, and soup. Everything was delicious, and the server was kind, patient and quite helpful. Portions were huge, and unfortunately we could not finish half of what we were provided. The price was reasonable Luckily the restaurant is open late (until 9).
