This is still a great place to eat. Many selections on the sushi bar, and perhaps not as great as a high-end place, but, hey, it's a buffet! Good mains, a nice selection of traditional Chinese buffet food and some American treats. And still the best hot sour soup anywhere. The lettuce bar could use a little attention-- the leaves are way too large, and the dressing is a little limited, but still a great place and I'm going back the next time I'm in town.

I have been there many times both by myself and with friends. I/we have always enjoyed the food and the service. In an era of pan-Asian restaurants where all the food is OK. Hunan Springs is focused on fine Chinese cuisine. In the survey questions below it asks if they specialize in a particular cuisine, they have a varied menu that has Cantonese as well as Hunan and Szechuan dishes. They are in the old Widow Browns building, warm woods with Asian accents, tables and booths that add a bit of privacy. A full bar. Dishes I have enjoyed - Ma La lamb ( lamb and veggies in a spicy brown sauce), House Duck Spectacular ( pulled duck with pea pods, green peppers and mushrooms in a mildly spicy brown sauce), Chicken and Eggplant in garlic sauce.

Consistently good food, fast service and clean atmosphere. Big portions for the money too. The staff always seem pleasant which is nice considering other restaurants in that shopping center are not.

I ordered shrimp with Chinese vegetables in brown sauce, and when I got home, it was in a garlic sauce. The food here is often loaded full of one type of vegetable (I'm not sure what it is, but it resembles an onion) and does not contain a lot of other vegetables.

I have been to Bamboo many times beyond counting at this point, small parties mostly but sometimes a little larger (6 - 8). I have also (probably a dozen or more times) enjoyed their take-out service. In my opinion both dine-in and take-out choices are solid and enjoyable but I must say the take-out experience carries somewhat greater value. There are more portion choices in take-out and even with the smaller size selections the portions are quite ample. The hot and sour soup is very good, the fried rice dishes as well. I very much enjoy the scallops with garlic sauce; my wife asks for a special preparation (in a white clear sauce not on the menu) for shrimp with vegetables as she has a problem with soy based sauces. The restaurant understands and obliges and offers her an alternative sauce that she thoroughly enjoys. Most of all I appreciate that the food at Bamboo has some distinction in that it is not over-seasoned, not weighed down with salt or overuse of soy sauce. They resist the tendency among many Asian restaurants to sweeten the dishes beyond what is called for. There are sweet notes where appropriate, but not overdone. The flavors of the dishes have some differentiation, unlike many Asian restaurants where everything seems to blend into one amalgam.Worthwhile to note that the restaurant specializes in Chinese but also features Japanese and Thai preparations. We eat out frequently and Bamboo has become our go-to restaurant when we want Asian cuisine. They have a fine sushi bar and of course eating sushi requires a good deal of faith in the food-handling commitment made by the restaurant. The sushi and sashimi are well executed and we have never had an instance of 'off-taste'. We find the restaurant clean and pleasant. Once in a great while the service is a little spotty but granting the dozens of visits we make, this is acceptable.High recommendation in all regards.

My wife and I stopped here Friday night. We are staying the night in Allentown and stopped here for dinner. What caught our attention was the banner above the main entrance (Grand Opening). We were greeted by the staff and were seated quickly. We ordered the Asparagus Twin Delight & Chicken Amazing. The food was served quickly and it come hot and tasty. This was a fabulously great tasting meal and came from a newly opened restaurant. My wife and I highly recommend this restaurant. Give it a try.

Coming up on our 4th anniversary living in the Macungie/Emmaus area. We are still looking for our favorite Chinese take-out. I tried Lingnan out. Place was clean, comfortable and quiet. There is a nice glass door between the cooking area and counter area. Great idea for temperature and noise control.I ordered boneless bbq spare ribs and white rice. Servings were generous. I found the spare ribs fattier than I like. Will try something else next time. Not a bad experience.
We have ordered from Chopsticks twice in two weeks. Everything we ordered was delicious. Ordering is a challenge as it is very difficult to understand the woman that answers the phone. She does go over your order to ensure it is correct. Delivery was very quick! Highly recommend
