Reviews on Chinese food in Craigavon, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. Craigavon (/kreɪˈɡævən/ kray-GAV-ən; Irish: Creag Abhann) is a planned settlement in northern County Armagh, Northern Ireland. Its construction began in 1965 and it was named after Northern Ireland's first Prime Minister: James Craig, 1st Viscount Craigavon. It was intended to be the heart of a new linear city incorporating Lurgan and Portadown, but this plan was abandoned and less than half of the proposed work was done. Among locals today, "Craigavon" refers to the area between the two towns. It is built beside two artificial lakes and is made up of a large residential area (Brownlow), a second smaller one (Mandeville), plus a central area (Highfield) that includes a substantial shopping centre, a courthouse and the district council headquarters. The lakes, a wildlife haven, are surrounded by woodland with walking trails. There is also a watersports centre, petting zoo, golf course and ski slope in the area. In most of Craigavon, motor vehicles are completely separated from pedestrians, and roundabouts are used extensively.

Arrived here at about 3pm. Seated straight away. The restaurant was busy and quite noisy but nice modern decor. Loads of food out at the help yourself buffet. All hotplates full with food. A real mixture of Chinese and also chips and onion rings. Really nice mixture of curries, stirfries, noodles and rices. Ate loads and was so full up!! Great for a really nice all you can eat. Very good price of £6.95 for lunch. Would definately go back.

Been a regular visitor here down the years and have had some hit and miss experiences in the past. That's the distant past however and all recent experiences have proved consistently tasty and reasonably priced. Waiting times aren't too bad either and the menu has everything you would normally expect to find in a Chinese. The shop doesn't look great from the outside or inside either and is particularly freezing at times in winter but a bit of a makeover could improve that and should not detract from the actual food quality. Don't think it delivers either unfortunately.

Nice local Chinese. Staff very friendly and the food is always lovely. Chinese chips are always questionable sometimes nice sometimes soggy. But overall lovely

This restaurant has so much potential as it serves quality tasty food at reasonable prices! The service from the young members of staff is excellent as their polite, attentive and great with kids! However the few times we've been there isa man who seems to be the owner/manager who constantly seems to undermine the younger workers and is rather rude to his competent staff! What makes me write such a review, the last visit he was dressed in jeans, T-shirt and dirty apron so I can only assume he was cooking! If so his cooking was excellent however; he constantly kept coming out into the restaurant area to check on his staff member, he kept embarrassing the young girl in front of tables by correcting! I recommend he stays in kitchen out of the way as the the service without him is excellent and efficient! Plus I've never been to a restaurant were the chef or kitchen staff serve or walk about the main eating area! Other than his what I could describe as bad habits or control issues this restaurant has excellent potential! Possibly go on the gentleman's day off?

Ordered a Breast Chicken Chow Mein Worst Chinese I've ever had. Arrived in minutes so was a bit sceptical. Tasteless dried up chicken and noodles. Brought it back to complain but manager wasn't interested. Didn't offer to exchange or refund. Was a bit annoyed that he refused to listen to my complaint. Just said 'that's how it is. Like it or not!!! Will never be back and if anyone looking at this review please do not go to this take away. There's a lot better in Lurgan.

This is hands down the best quality and the tastiest Chinese food in Portadown. It's a little more expensive than most of the other places but the quality is really worth it. You may have to wait a little longer for a takeaway order due to popularity but it's worth the wait. Highly recommended.

Two of the orders where completely wrong when we opened up the containers they went all over each other ruining the food. I phoned up to tell them and they told us we could come back and get a free family meal. We went back in good faith and ordered a family meal when we went to pick it up they told us only my dish was free and we would have to pay for all the other dishes also very ignorant and rude service.
