So, my previous review advised you to not judge a book by its cover as the food more than made up for what looks like a fairly nondescript outside. However, after a recent dining experience I can safely say that this place has gone badly downhill. My daughter and I visited on 10th April and instead of the normally friendly greeting we were met as if us dining in was actually a problem to the owner. We were the only ones dining in but that was no reason for the abrupt greeting we received.Sadly, the food was even worse. Whilst my daughter's Cantonese style food was OK the Sweet and Sour chicken I was served up was an absolute disgrace. I genuinely believe that they had peeled chicken nuggets and stuck some batter over them such was the "quality" of the meat inside. Without doubt the worst Chinese meal I have ever eaten.Perhaps because there was still quite a bit of food left on the plate when we left our departure was about as friendly as our arrival.Such a shame too. I visit Blackpool often and, 9 times out of 10, I would also visit Red Pepper. I will, however, not be back here again.

Serving mouth-watering dishes since 1975, it's our quality ingredients and friendly service that have kept us the talk of the Fylde Coast for years. Whether a frequent visitor, or first time diner expect fresh, Cantonese cooking in a relaxed, family-frien
We were the only people in this restaurant so we weren't sure about it. But the waitress was pleasant and able to accommodate my food intolerance. Great service! Most Chinese restaurants we tried considered bamboo shoots and water chestnuts vegetables when they say 'vegetables' in any dish. Vegetarians beware! This restaurant however was able to put together a dish that had some fresh vegetables like snow peas and bok choy (though they have different names in England :Pak Coi and Mange-tout). My husband's Chicken Satay wasn't similar to anything he has had before (like in a Thai restaurant) so he was disappointed in the flavors.

We are well past having house parties on NYE. Just a quiet night in a local restaurant suits us. Within walking distance. This year's choice was Chinese. What a fantastic. choice that was!!! 15 minutes walk on a very mild night weather wise. Booking at 6.30. Table for 10. It was full when we arrived apart from our table which was waiting for us, the long one at the bottom of the room. Originally booked for 8 but they very kindly squeezed in another 2. When we had all arrived they came to take drinks order. And from that point the drinks were flowing. Food order taken. We could order from a special party menu, options a (£13.80) or b (£15.80) both delightful, or from the a La carte. Vast amount of choice. It was very busy but the food arrived piping hot and delicious as always. Mixed starters, duck and pancakes and a variety of mains, fried rice, noodles and a constant supply of prawn crackers. The staff were very busy, and every credit to them they never once got stressed and all had lovely big smiles for our party. They were an absolute delight. We enjoyed our evening immensely. So much so we will be booking for next year. We could not have enjoyed it more. It was very reasonable too price wise.

First time at this brilliant restaurant, wonât be the last.Staff are wonderful, very informative, nothing too much. The food is absolutely delicious.Great wine and very reasonably priced.Would highly recommend. The only off putting part of the experience was a very noisy large group ( not the restaurants fault ) made it difficult to have a conversation. They wonât be there every time lol.

We visited on a Tuesday night and was surprised how busy it was. The woman server asked if we had booked, but we hadn't. Even though the restaurant was busy she managed to fit us in. ( would recommend booking before going ) The food was absolutely delicious THAI, Indian. Nepalese, to name a few and was cooked fresh. there is everything you want in a buffet restaurant and more. The price was unbelievable good value to, it came to £30 for two people with 2 pints of Lager. In any other buffet restaurant you could add another £10-£12 on top of that. A massive well done guys we will be back.Dear customer,Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a kind review. We're so pleased to hear you had a great dining experience with us (we would definitely recommend booking in advance too!) and that you found the pricing to be very reasonable. We look forward to seeing you again soon!Kind regards,The Gurkha

We had some work in the same street and saw the public waiting to go into the restaurant. The following day we finished late a agreed to go over. What a good choice. Although we had to wait 30 min it was well worth it. The owener made sure we were looked after and made welcome. The food was great and the experience was to.If you go make sure you try it was a great surprise to find this level of service and food.

Located in a beautiful seafront building on Blackpool's prom, opposite the North Pier. By exposing many original features we have given the restaurant a modern 'ruin bar' feel. The decor ties in with the street market style menu; specialising in noodle an
When we entered the restaurant mid afternoon, one of our group greeted the staff with a friendly "Ola". This did not appear to go down well with the manager who told the waitress to put our small group in a corner table in an almost empty restaurant. We ordered a starters, small plates and drinks. One of the group has food allergies and asked for a dish without sauce and was told that this was boring! Rather that than ill. We decided to cut our losses and leave after this. Don't get me wrong, the food was good but the attitudes need improvement. Over £100 including tip for a forty minute visit. Thanks for coming to dine with us and great to hear you enjoyed your food. I spoke to the manager working yesterday and he remembers talking with you and thought he'd had a pleasant exchange, it's sounds like his 'boring' was was met as well as your 'ola', maybe they were lost in translation! He asked me to pass on his apologies if you thought there was any underlying current :-)I asked him which table he'd seated you at and it was the large sharing table in the window, many people like this as it has a nice view but as you say, the restaurant was quiet at the time you visited so if you'd asked we'd have happily moved tables for you.Anyway, hope we see you again, when I'm sure you'll be greeted with a smile :-)
