Yesterday I met my brother at Diggels restaurant in Barendrecht.We had a very pleasant lunch together in the gorgeous atmosphere of this lovely restaurant.The service was very friendly and efficient and the food was very tasty. We enjoyed ourselves and the nice food. Can recommend!

We visited Matroos and het meisje on a Friday. We had to make reservations because it was fully booked earlier and no wonder: The food is excellent and so is the wine. We really enjoyed it..

We had dinner on a Wednesday evening. Not too crowded and a cosy atmosphere. We decided on a combination of 4 dishes. All dishes were tasty, the best dish was the fried duck liver, highly recommended!

Taken by a Dutch friend who dines here often, I have to say it was an excellent experience and evening. Food is fresh and is quality, Ambience is excellent, it's relatively small but this adds not distracts from it's character. Staff are amazingly efficient and friendly, tables and chairs are quirkily hand painted, it certainly brightens up the restaurant.. Food is well presented and so tasty, I'm salivating as I write this review a couple of weeks after visiting, definitely one to look up if visiting Rotterdam away from the city centre.

My wife and I visited Wapen after cycling from Kinderdijk. As it was a beautiful day we choose to sit outside which was lovely. Waitresses were attentive and friendly. The lunchkaart had a varied choice, classic dutch lunch cuisine. I choose an Uitsmijter met kaas and my wife had a chicken wrap with a side order of fries. The food came quickly and overall we enjoyed it. As I always say when I order an uitsmijter 'how can they get fried eggs on bread with some sliced cheese wrong?'. My meal was fine, no complains but no 'this is proper tasty' moment either. My wife enjoyed the wrap however she was a little confused why is was more expensive than the toasties. It was literally just one wrap with some chicken mayo combination. They forgot the fries to start off with but a quick reminder and they were out in a couple of minutes. The only shocking moment was that the fries didn't come with frietsaus/ mayo!!! This is the Netherlands! Fries always come with saus! Slap on the hand Wapen! Good place to come for lunch for simple dutch food. :-)

We enjoyed a dinner here that was delicious, Michelin star worthy. Lost track but around 8-9 courses with tasty and beautiful looking dishes, using flowers and herbs. The restaurant is run by a young, very hardworking couple who make you feel very welcome. Recently redecorated the place with nice furniture.

I had not too much time. Just wanted to have a quick but not too quick dinner. I was pleasantly surprised with gentle and speedy service. Especially if you have an appointment later on you donât want your dinner in the last 15 minutes. Quality of food is great. Everything nicely prepared. Not too hot, not too cold, not too raw, not overcooked. Exactly right !!! In the end I had time to write this review rather than speeding to my appointment!
