Pagua Bay Bar and Grill was simply fantastic at every meal. Lots of variety/selection including favorites from home and local influences (goat meat, plantains, local fresh fruit) that made every meal amazing. The fresh local fruit juices in the morning were a great treat, and served as a great cocktail later in the evening. Best place on the island to eat and stay, with a views that make the whole experience serine!

After getting into our villa outside Calibishie, we were looking for a place to go. Bamboo Restaurant fit the bill perfectly. Friendly host, very good food, great ambiance (our family had three of the chicken dishes and each was very good). Just perfect!

I travel around the Caribbean a lot and eat out wherever I go, so to come across a place as good as this in what is basically the middle of nowhere, I was very pleasantly surprised! The new owners (who are a very pleasant and intelligent English couple) catered meticulously to my allergies, delivered a superb bottle of red wine and dished up an amazing snapper meal that left me wanting to go back for more. In addition the ambiance is amazing and the prices excellent (from a complete Caribbean point of view). I will definitely go back as much as I can whenever in Dominica and highly recommend Bamboo Restaurant to anyone visiting the island in future.
I'd been here in January, and went back recently - nothing had changed....the service is fabulous, friendly and caring; the food always home-cooked perfect; plus they have a balconied open top floor to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets and of course the savour their nearest view to the tip of Guadeloupe, Isles de Saintes, and see lights twinkling on the pancake flat island of Marie Galante. All of this in the lovely village of Calibishie.

On the golden sandy shores of Point Baptiste Beach outside of the quaint fishing Village of Calibishie is that quiet hideaway of "Escape Beach Bar & Boutique Lodging" right beside the gorgeous Red Rocks, that are a natural wonder not to be missed. It is o
Food is amazing, the setting is gorgeous, and the staff are attentive. Calibishie restaurants range from meh to good, except for this place where it's EXCELLENT. We went back three times. Had our farewell dinner with our new friends our last night in Dominica.

Located in the heart of downtown Calibishie.
A super spot on the beach, fish below and pelicans and kingfishers flying around. Can definitely recommend the pork and the shrimp.

This little slice of paradise is owned by a big Canadian named Troy, and he is very welcoming and friendly. His kitchen puts out some wonderful meals. You can get the usual items like cheese burgers and french fries, but also several different fish to choose from, including Lion Fish. We have also had the large River Prawns and Octopus Chowder. and Conch when available. He has a small swimming pool right next to the open pavilion dining area, perfect for the kids to play in,.or even the adults that want to cool off. We eat here often when we are visiting Calibishie.
