Things to do in Bonaventure
The food is good and good portion. Very good lunch specials and good homemade soup. The service is good and pleasant. The restaurant is nice and clean.
This charming roadside cantine has a very diverse menu, including Greek, Mexican and Canadian Fare. They also have several vegetarian options!! All of the food is fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. This was a surprisingly delightful pit stop on our Gaspésie roadtrip
Living in Bonaventure, I've had the chance to eat food from this place and I've enjoyed it everytime. Lovely burgers, great poutine and big big portions for very decent prices. I normally call in to order and eat the food at my place but one can also eat there (they have a nice terrasse out during the summer). Both options are especially valuable if you are camping in the area and do not feel like cooking.

Located in the Riotel Hotel in bonaventure
We were not even noticed for about 5 minutes waiting to be seated, when seated it was at least 10 minutes before we were acknowledged in any way. All steps were very slow but I have to say the meal was really good quality and delicious. The waitress really warmed up to us by the end of our very long time together.

Really nice pub fare. There's a large selection of food here, including juicy burgers, pasta, pizza, and a children's menu. The service was friendly (French or English), and there was lots of sports on the large-screen TVs. It wasn't overly busy when we arrived on Wednesday night, but still a fair number of customers eating dinner. If I lived nearby, I would certainly come back!

Every day, a large variety of cooked meals, vacuum packed. Discover the braised of the day.
This place gets a +1 for the experience, the atmosphere, attention to detail, and innovation. At its core, Jack Crusoë is a wilderness outfitter, specializing in sous-vide for the kayaking crowd. At its core, Jack Crusoë is a steampunk bistro, reminiscent of Hemingway. At its core, Jack Crusoë is a laid back resto-bar with great food and wine, where you can while away an afternoon. It's hard to classify Jack Crusoë, so let's tell the story. The owner has a long history of making sous-vide packages for his own white water pleasure. After all, why buy generic boil-in-a-bag food when you can express the local terroir using the same technology? The day came when he decided to leave the city behind and develop his hobby into a business. Where better to do this than on one of the most beautiful rivers in the world? So he bought a place in Bonaventure and lovingly restored it with a steampunk esthetic. From this base, Jack Crusoë offers boil-in-a-bag/sous-vide gourmet food made with local meats and produce that you can re-heat at your campsite. If you're looking for a sit-down meal, the interior offers a bar and a some bistro tables. The tables and bars are handmade, using wood reclaimed during the renovations. Each plank in the building has been restored with love by the owner's own hands. The kitchen is constantly producing vast quantities of terrines, individual take out meals, cornish hens, salsas, jellies, dips, or whatever the chef's creation of the day is. It's experimental, with a classic French Bistrot flair. It's much more than just a restaurant, it's an experience.Jack Crusoë is worth the detour from the main road, and it's a great place to stock up on meals for the week, or for your kayaking trip.Enjoy!

The town is situated on water, but there was absolutely no fresh fish at this specialized sea food shop. My grocery store far from the ocean has a SIGNIFICANTLY better choice of sea products. Not impressed!

A good friend and I stopped here for supper and were pleasantly surprised to find such a gem. The servers were excellent; even while busy, the atmosphere was inviting, the outdoor area was beautiful, and the food was top notch. We started with the salmon tartare, which was slightly under seasoned, but we were happier to add some salt then have it over seasoned. We then had the scallop and gnocchi dish, which was the star of our evening (along with the wine suggested to us by our lovely, handsome server). We then had the bouillabaisse, which was executed very well and finished it off with the creme brûlée and it was delicious. All in all, a wonderful evening in a lovely establishment. Thank you! We will be back :)
