Made in Cornwall by their oldest bakery the pasties here are very good. Large will satisfy most appetites but if some one want to try a piece of yours go for the extra large and indulge yourself. Lucky to have a Proper Pasty shop so close to where we live, the waist line will suffer if Iâm not careful.
To be honest we don't really like the taste of Starbucks coffee. However, driving north and in need of a break we spotted this Starbucks beside the A43. We were impressed with the bright modern interior and the amount of space. Service was friendly and quick and the toilets were excellent. So it just goes to show even if you prefer other coffee blends Starbucks can come up with the goods!

We decided to give the Forum Restaurant a try and found it not very good, when we went there were not many options, the service was so slow we gave up. My advise would be to change management and allow somebody to manage it better. Its in a good location and could be a place to meet for coffee and snacks whilst visiting the Library. Not good at all, may try again but not in a hurry.

stopped in while shopping today for a quick snack/lunch. I had soup which was ok but used to be served with a decent granary roll but just recently they are using realy cheap and horrible rolls which "spoil the ship for a halfpenny of tar" as my old grandfather used to say. She who must be obeyed had to send her sandwich back as it had a funny taste (avocado, bacon and chicken toasty) they did change to another but of course I had eaten my soup by then (very slow service today) so a cock up all round really especially as her tea had gone cold by then.Mmmm will I go back? not sure.

Visited for motherâs day with my sister, mum and my son to have afternoon tea - they were clearly busy when we arrived which is fine given the day.Afternoon tea came out and look lovely but we had to ask for plates to be able to eat it, we had to ask for glasses to be able to drink our water, the final straw came when my sister went to eat her scone, I do not eat cream and has eaten mine with just jam which was lovely - but the clotted cream has gone off and smelt like it had been off so for some time - I complained politely more as just as your cream is off in case you are serving more people.Chef came over and apologised she also gave us some good Will cup cakes - here where this main issue for me is the bill came and this afternoon tea cost £70 and the good Will cupcakes we were given, were being given out to other customer that visited the restaurant that day who were motherâs (so not a good Will gesture when everyone is getting given them).Thank you for writing your review. I do apologise about the cream. It was in fact freshly purchased. These things do happen in spite of taking every care. With regards to the box of cakes that we gave you, you correctly observed that one similar cake was being given to other mothers. Our policy was to give a cake as a special gesture where our clients had consumed a full three course lunch which of course did not apply to you. You were given a full box of cakes for which other customers were paying £5.50.I can understand that you felt upset when you did not know all the facts. We will certainly review our policy about making such gestures in the future.Richard

Traditional English tea room serving breakfast, lunches, cream teas and afternoon teas. With an extensive range of 44 loose leaf teas to choose from, a range of different coffees, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks.
Amazing find of a lovely tea room that does a very nice gluten free afternoon tea (a scarcity in this area). A very reasonably priced tea with bite sized sandwiches and yummy scones, we couldn't manage the cakes and took them back with us. All served on/in old cake stands and bone china. 3 pages of different teas and the general menu was extensive and varied. We will be back. Set in a courtyard with deli/distillery/bar and local crafts.

This is one of the few preferred places for a âgood fry upâ for my motorcycling chums and myself. Food is plentiful and the atmosphere friendly whether you arrive on a bike, sports car or 18 wheeler. There is something quintessentially British about Jacks and I love it!!!

Licensed Cafe Bar serving speciality coffee and loose leaf teas and scratch cooked food every day. We offer a relaxed and different menu using seasonal and fresh ingredients delivered to us every day.
Did the Towcester Parkrun and instead of going to the Warrens Bakery as suggested, reading up the terrible reviews that place has, we chose to search for an alternative cafe on the Towcester high street. Have to say that we are glad to have found Ten Hands.A modern looking very clean setting with good service. The coffee was spot on and the scones were delicious. The choice of fresh cakes as well looked really good and there is plenty of seating inside and outside. Most definitely the right place to go to tuck into a decent breakfast and good coffee after the run.
