Staggering beauty and heart-pumping thrills await in the resort town of Queenstown, which is also known for its Hobbits—much of the Lord of the Rings trilogy was filmed in the area. Outdoor enthusiasts flock to Queenstown for the kayaking, bungee jumping, jetboating, white-water rafting, hiking and skiing. More mild-mannered adventurers can take a quiet cruise through nearby Milford Sound, part of the Fjordland National Park World Heritage area, or sample South Island pinot noir from one of the region's 75 wineries.

The original Joe's Garage opened in 2000, situated in an old Post Office sorting room in Queenstown. There are now seven Joe's around NZ and the concept is the same now as it was then- to be a Cafe that everybody can go to and enjoy exceptional coffee and

The Bathhouse restaurant is a historical gem from 1911; its regal crown-like architecture is like nothing else in Queenstown. Youâll find us right on the beach along Marine Parade, with a sunny deck overlooking Lake Wakatipu and a nearby playground so you
Very friendly staff welcome you to this superbly located spot right on the âbeachâ in Queenstown. Sit outside or in. Latin music and twinkling lights of Queenstown create the ambience. Enjoy just a drink, have some tapas but to go without eating a main meal is to miss out. We had cooked lamb and beef cheeks as our choices and both were hearty tasty and comforting. Queenstown has a lot of restaurants but this one, for both food and location, should not be missed. Open breakfast lunch and dinner. Great spot for a people watch too.

Queenstown's newest eatery, Yonder, with their experimental kitchen also boast the primary go to for speciality coffee. With its main focus on dietary needs (vegan, GF) and a large array of healthy and indulgent delights, Yonder is ever evolving. A sunny
We ate brunch at Yonder on our last day in Queenstown. We initially sat outside as it had a gorgeous atmosphere, however, with impending rain/snow we headed inside to a booth. The inside atmosphere is cosy yet spacious, never feeling like we were on top of each other. I ordered the pork benedict choosing to swap out the pork for 'streaky bacon' for an added $2, which I felt was a bit of a rip off considering streaky bacon would cost considerably less than shredded pork and the amount of bacon that was substituted in was pretty poor. The overall flavour was good. My friend ordered eggs on toast which came exactly as stated, don't expect anything extra like butter on your toast. Seemed to be a great catch up place for the locals. Free wifi was also a plus as we waited to hear whether our flight home was cancelled or not.Hey Ashleigh, Thanks for the review! We're always happy to supply butter, in fact we've actually started providing butter upon request as a sustainability measure because so many people were throwing it out. We use premium bacon, so its actually more expensive than expected. Glad you loved the flavour, hopefully,â we can grab those two missing stars from you next time!

Balls and Bangles Queenstown is all about crazy donuts, shakes, delicious bagels and our premium ORB coffee. Come on in for a treat or two!
Visited this evening for an after dinner treat - not disappointed at all. Gourmet doughnuts are a bit more expensive at $8, but very filling. Other filled doughnuts were $4. My husband & younger daughter each had a salted caramel & Nutella filled doughnuts, I had a lemon meringue one & older daughter had an Oreo crunch which came with a syringe of chocolate sauce! We were all pretty impressed.

Big Fig Queenstown is all about slow food, served fast. We hit the sweet spot between food that's really good and ready to go. Our dishes are fresh, made by chefs and packed with flavour. You choose a plate size and we fill it the way you want. Come fill
This place has a great homey feel to it. The food is just good hands down and there are plenty of healthy choices. Everything is fresh and the atmosphere is great. The prices are quite reasonable considering the quality of their food. This is a must try!
