We were greeted as soon as we entered, by a lovely and friendly waitress. We had 5 tapas choices, the meatballs (amazing with homemade marinara sauce), octopus with a freshly baked baguette (delicious), shrimp with chimchurri sauce (so great), soba noodles (delicious - even my husband loved it with furikake) and one more. I had a glass of wine (delicious) and my husband had a beer. We would definitely return, the food and service were great. This is truly one of Olympia's gems.

Their phone is 360.878.9637. The restaurant serves sandwiches, salads, and coffee. It is under new ownership, and is a much nicer place to eat.
This is a four-five table cafe that features Olympic Mountain ice cream, hand-made sandwiches, pastries, and coffee. Very slow service for the size of the place. Don't go if you are in a hurry.

This place is in a truck stop next to a tobacco store. It looks a little rode-hard on the outside. The inside was a bit worn (booth seats ripped in spots) but charming, clean, bright, and spacious. I am a healthy vegetarian and the lunch menu did not have many options. They serve breakfast all day and I ate a delicious fluffy Greek omelette covered in melted feta. The hash browns were crispy and not greasy and they grilled my English muffin under a griddle press. Very impressive and yummy! If you eat meat, their burger menu is extensive. If you are vegan, you need to find another spot. Thank you Ruth. This location has been a staple of the community for a very long time and has a certain feel along with the appearance. We do intend some remodeling this Spring with seats and the interior. We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review.

Oh boy. Just got back from a satisfying dinner out with my family. Food was delicious and service was fast & friendly. I had a tasty burger (their ranch is so good) and my wife & son split the club sandwich, which they devoured. We also shared a delightful chocolate shake. Weâll be back. To quote my son âwe love this place!â

New Traditions Café is a community hub gathering place for a community of interesting and involved people. We serve fresh, organic food as well as host concerts, workshops and public forums.
Traditions is a fine old, Olympia tradition in itself. They offer a really good spread of locally sourced foods, for lunch and dinner as well as coffee-shop drink specials. There is a wonderful fairtrade goods store attached. The best thing about traditions is the regular performances of local artists and interest groups that take place l week long. If you are walking around Olympia and need a short rest with coffee, head for traditions and enjoy.

Whenever we come here, I feel like I am in a small town diner. Many customers seem to be regulars based on the greeting that you hear from the staff. Service is excellent, coffee is kept topped off. Their breakfast potatoes are fantastic, I always pay the extra 50 cents for the peppers and onions to be added. Portions are generous. The create your own omelet is almost always my choice.

Our group of 5 included two vegans and one vegetarian so this place was ideal. We were all impressed by the variety of choices. I had the biscuit with mushroom gravy with rosemary potatoes. It was fabulous! The staff was very friendly and the coffee was perfect.

Lots of positive comments about the service, decor, and food at this place. I ordered the veggie curry with rice and a side of smoked salmon. For me it was a sharable portion but I'm a light eater most of the time. I thought it was great although I usually like some chicken with this type of dish. If sharing I suggest at least adding a protein. Either way I believe it's a great choice. I tried a bite of my wife's crab cakes and they were wonderful too. The decor is typical McMenamins so it's comfortable and has an old school feel. To me, it's exactly the type of place where I can relax and have an enjoyable meal. The service is attentive and timely - no rush or unreasonable delays. I thought the pricing was OK and got out of the place with three dinners, a couple of drinks, and two desserts with tip for less than $100. Now for the men's room. I believe you can tell a lot about a place by taking a quick peek into the bathrooms. It wasn't horrible but it needed some attention. Not a deal killer but a note to the management - pay attention to this issue and 5 stars would have been my rating.BTW, if you got anything out of this review I would appreciate a "helpful" vote. Thanks!
