This cafe is located within the Beaver Travel Agency building. There is a good range of snacks, lunches and even a cooked breakfast 9 to 10.30 am. Service was quick and friendly, prices were reasonable and we enjoyed our cuppas while sitting on comfortable seating watching the world go by on South Street, Elgin.

Cafe Kombucha, Elgin's first ever vegan / plant-based cafe. Opened in November 2018. Follow us on Facebook for updates, news and special offers. Website on its way!
We've been to this original and relaxed little cafe several times for tasty lunches so thought we would try evening meal (open Fri/Sat eve) and we weren't disappointed. We had mushroom stroganoff with quinoa which was great, followed by cake/cheesecake, both very good. We aren't vegan but find the food delicious as well as healthy & different from anything else in Elgin. Good value too.

We were recommended Johnstons after a visit to Elgin Cathedral. The restaurant was very busy but the staff were exceptionally well organised, very friendly and very helpful. A great atmosphere with large groups, small groups and all ages. The choice of food was good with a great range and some particularly tasty looking cakes. We had soup and sandwiches followed by a scone and hot chocolate. The portions were generous and the service excellent. We followed this by a visit to the shop where my wife purchased some beautiful stuff. This was an exceptionally good experience and one that we will repeat on our next visit.

The Salt Cellar is set in a scenic location overlooking the beach at Lossiemouth. The view includes on a good day people walking their dog; surfers; lots of golden generation couples hand in hand eating ice cream; kids playing and doing handstands; motorcyclists; canoeists and so is really quite exquisite. With tables outside; lovely wcâs; lovely indoor decor there is much the Salt Cellar do right. Sadly though even when not busy the service of food was extremely slow. One table beside us had their order come out in intervals 5 minutes apart! They then needed to ask for the forgotten dish. There appeared enough staff just something somewhere isnât working. Our own simple fayre which took over 40 mins to arrive was non-descript and pricey considering it was lukewarm and bland. The soup looked and tasted either out of a packet or tin and the garlic mushrooms were cold and lacked flavour. Gordon Ramsey would have a field day over the food which is such a shame as so much else is spot on.

4 adults and 2 children ended up here for lunch after a very blustery walk on West Beach. The bacon rolls were huge with 3 thick pieces of bacon, lovely soup and sandwiches. 2 guests had homemade coffee cake which was pronounced delicious

A friendly family run cafe at the beach selling freshly made food to beat in or take away. We have disabled access and parking at the door with disabled toilets. A children's play area equipped with books and toys allows parents to relax. Dogs are welcome
Went in today after a walk along a very cold and windswept (and sleety at times) beach. The weather was too bad to sit outside so we put the dogs in the car and went to see if we could get something warm to takeaway. Lady serving was lovely and we had a bit of a discussion about regional words for bread rolls (hubby ordered cobs and it didn't translate! )We got two coffees and a bacon roll and a sausage and egg roll which were cooked fresh and boxed with serviettes and sachets of sauce in the box. We ate them in the car and they were delicious. Great service and good food - what more could you ask for?How kind, we are here to help x
