In the middle of the forest, in a small log hut, is a restaurant with sauna, hiking and ski-ing trails and a wilderness restaurant. It is somewhere you must visit. We had lunch here and enjoyed it very much. The lodge prides itself on local cuisine and sourcing the food locally. In addition, some of it is foraged from the surrounding forests. The result was a quite exceptional lunch, cooked and served by an engaging young woman. We enjoyed a salad; reindeer stew with mashed potato; homemade rye bread and another `pitta'-type one; a brilliant lingonberry sauce full of complete berries and with an exquisite flavour; bilberry tart and custard; and coffee, The fact that most people went back for more tells you all you need to know.Do seek out this place - it's worth it.

Very well located near Vuosseli ski trail take off, you can leave car here and start skiing. Trail is easy and after your tour you can go there for soup. Here are salmon soup and minced meat soup, they are very tasty.Leave some room for dessert, they have delicious pancakes. Just taste and love.

Olemme vierailleet kahvilassa jo useamman vuoden ajan Kuusamossa käydessämme. Leivonnaiset ovat tuoreita ja valikoiman runsaus tekee päätöksenteosta vaikeaa. Palvelu on ystävällistä ja emännän kanssa juttua riittää kun hän ehtii keittiöstä salin puolelle. Paikka on vähän sivussa, mutta kun sen löytää sinne poikkeaa mielellään.

This is a small cafeteria and the factory outlet of Kuusamon Uistin. Children loved the aquarium with Finnish fish species. The cafeteria is situated by the pond named Pieni Helilampi, along the main road number 5 (E63), about 4-5 kilometers from the center of Kuusamo to the direction of Ruka. The best swimming beach of Kuusamo is situated by the same pond, on the opposite side of the pond. This is a beautiful and nice resting place.

Seems to gather the mid-age people with kids for afternoon. Cosy place where the service is outstanding. As example: young girl went to have hot chocolate with friends and weither assisted first with Tazza machine, then pimped the portion, took care young lady had money back and then asked a man next to her to carry young ladies tray to their table. This makes a ski day!

We loved our few hours spent there. We had the husky ride to start with, a bit short of course and very commercial (in the sense that it's all a bit rush rush), but the good thing is no need to book in advance so that's great. We also had a reindeer sleigh ride and again, it was short but very enjoyable. We could feed the reindeer's after the ride and there it didn't feel like we were being rushed so we enjoyed it. The cafe itself is very cozy, with a fire in the middle and a pancake stall outside. There was a good choice of food. For us one thing could be improved : to allow wifi access. There is a poster up asking customer to like them on Facebook, but no wifi no like !

Run by a young crew with good drinks, wines, snacks and food. Best place for a coffee or a drink and simple homely food, but also very good wines. Snowboarder atmosphere but customers are every age. Social atmosphere, comfy seating, games and magazines. Relaxed, cool friendly staff and atmosphere.
